171. Cape

It had never mattered that it also served as his blanket. Spike had always thought that a cape was what made really made him a hero. With it on, he defeated devilish monsters and scheming villains like they were nothing but bumps in the road.

But then...

Then his sister had become a hero, and she had done so without a cape, or the supernatural good looks he thought all heroes had to have; but simply by being true to herself.

He’s decided to be a true hero, just like her; and he’s going to do it without his blanket.
