the beginning part seems pretty familiar. it's almost as if i read part of this already >_> you also wrote sent help instead of send help at the end lol
I had an issue with the beginning part (that I wouldnt bring up normally, but you asked). I do not see Rainbow Dash as letting some pony under her command fly back into an oncoming storm alone no matter how stupid she thought that pony was. She would most likely follow along, second most likely go in her stead, and third most likely prevent it.
