Libraries have a way of accumulating excess reading material. Periodicals pile up. Ponies who fail to sell off their own books at stable sales decide donations are easier than just waiting for the next go-round. And of course, a truly dedicated librarian will be adding tomes at every opportunity, until the shelves are full -- and then some. There's a cure for this situation, and Twilight's been avoiding it for a few years.

Time's up.

This story is a sequel to Babe, Why Is She Saying That Word?

Cadance was curious as to why a kirin was sitting at her family's dining room table. Shining Armor was too.

What they find out may make Cadance reconsider her approach to family matters, while Shining Armor wonders if he'll survive the remainder of the day. After all, it was all his fault...

...right?

Written as a Judge Submission for the Shining Armor Is A Terrible Dad competition.

A spiritual, but not a direct sequel to my story, Babe, Why Is She Saying That Word? Now marked as a sequel because I'm small brained. Vittu.

Sex tag present due to how many sex jokes there are.

When the Princesses left us to our fate, many saw it as the end of Equestria itself. In reality, it was just the beginning of another chapter for the populace of Equis.

The Celestial Union; a regime forged from what was left of the noble houses of Canterlot and enforced by the remainder of the royal guard, are the promoters of the right of the individual to succeed.

The Luna Motherland; a state formed in the ashes of Manehatten after it was burnt to the ground, believe that only the co-operation and sacrifice of all in equal measure will salvage the former glory days of ponykind.

You couldn’t care less about either.

As an inhabitant of Canterlot you must struggle to make your life using any means possible, and through this style of living you discovered your natural talents of swiftly moving through the cityscape as a courier. Whether your deliveries are legal or not matters little to you.

But changes are on the horizon, many unseen forces are vying for power behind the scenes, and when the chances to shape Equestria are presented to you, what would you do?

This is a story which moulds around the choices presented to you; the direction of the story as well as the personality of the protagonist and his companions will be affected by the decisions made at the end of each chapter.

Choose carefully, as only those who survive get to decide the definition of good and evil.

(Not an Assassins Creed crossover)

Swift Slash was born and raised as an assassin. Killing other ponies is all he knows how to do. He lives in Anvil, a town that is controlled by two major groups, The Assassins and The Guardians, both of which want full control over the town. The two groups have been fighting for as long as they can remember. Not with words, but with swords, knives, daggers, and well, you get the idea. One day, something drives Swift out of his town...something that he thought would never happen. He must now stay incognito for the remainder of his life, but where will he continue?

-Contains gore and minor cursing

-Swift Slash is the pony on the cover

-Like I said before, this has nothing to do with the Assassins Creed universe. However I did use elements from AC: The robes the assassins are wearing, the hidden blade, and parkour.(Why? Because those things are friggin' cool!) Other than that, it's a completely different story. (Plus, I have only played AC brotherhood and AC revelations so I'm not too familiar with the AC story.)

-For characters I have 'other' meaning more characters that I couldn't fit

-Feel free to ask any questions if you do not understand something

Sun rises in the East, winter is followed by spring, and a person can run away from its problems only for so long. One day, you've got to turn around and either yield - or face them, stand and fight for the values you believe in.

Apparently, the above applies to Humanity as a whole, too. However, there's a catch: is fighting worth it if you cannot win?

Several years have passed since the emergence of Equestria. The shiny bubble of the Barrier now covers a substantial portion of the planet and is still expanding, albeit at a slower rate than initially predicted. An even greater part of human population has chosen to undergo Conversion, exchanging their miserable existence for a new life in a bright and hospitable dimension, and set off for the mystic tides, never to be seen on Earth again. Most institutions and organized structures of humanity have thus gradually dissolved into non-existence; the remainder of the planet is now controlled by HLF-spawned communities, or just by plain brigands who rapidly slip towards Middle-Age levels of culture and technology.

There's an exception to this, however. In a remote and unwelcoming region of the continent, one shard of the old civilization just doesn't want to let go. And the people in charge aren't happy at all about the deal the old World Government struck with the Princesses...

There are many things one of advanced years wishes for: Peace and quiet, family, and especially to enjoy the successes of one's life being just a few examples.

Unfortunately for Mirage, it seems he will be forfeit of all of these. With the death of his wife, and a untimely and emotional flight to Equestria, he will have to start from the ground up once again as he plants himself in a new country, city and culture. Landing in the mountain city of Canterlot, he prepares to spend the remainder of his days like his younger ones: working to the brink of exhaustion to survive as he tries to forget his past.

After a run in with our favorite grey colored Pegasus, it seems any plans he has are going to go a bit haywire.

This story (if it continues like I planned) will start much earlier than the main episodes cover but will continue onwards. I don't plan on making this an AU but I'm also not very well versed in the lore.

*NOTE: this is my first MLP fanfiction. I've written previous fictions on FanFiction.net but alas, this is my first foray here. Comments, wisecracks and ideas are appreciated. I also do not promise any regular updates to this or any story I make. I'm also not a master of the French language, so any mistakes are left to my poor understanding and Google Translate.
