It has been ten years since Equus was invaded by the Amari, from the planet of the same name, a world further out in the same solar system. Untold numbers perished, cities were destroyed, and civilization hung on a knife's edge. No resistance managed to stop the invaders, even though here and there a machine would be destroyed by native militaries.

Fortunately, the invaders failed to take in one thing; germs. They all died within twenty days of the first cylinder landing.

In the wake of the invasion, new military technology was developed, the fear of a second invasion spurring the new technological era. M.A.R.S. (Mechanized Armored Resistance Squadron), an international defense force utilizing legged machines that combined alien and native tech, was founded. Spike, having witnessed Ponyville's destruction and having lost many friends in the attack, volunteered to serve as the pilot of a Mk. I mech. In addition, native flying machines and steam tanks have been constructed to defend the planet. A new age, one of increased technological potential, is upon Equus.

Now, as Amari approaches Equus the closest it has in fifteen years, a storm is about to break...

A mix of several War of the Worlds adaptations, including but not limited to; Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds, The Anglo-Martian War of 1895 by Mike Brunton, and the Great Martian War book series by Scott Washburn.

Smolder always thought that dragon could do thing better than pony like magic, and friendship but was told over and over again that dragon could not do things that ponys could do. But one day she got a book of spells and tried to do a simple spell making a apple taste like a banana but backfire and having smolder surveying a long time of detention but when she cleaning the headmare office she found a scroll with a map showing locations to powerful dragon lord's and with the sense of adventure and her excitement fueling her blood and she set off to find the first load violetbloodstone to learn dragon magic and learn about dragon history that no one ever knew.

After a few nights of studying, Haley Yukon Sparkle earned the highest score on her math test. Artemis decides to reward her. (Within reason, of course.) The only thing she wanted to do is to go to the local store to get a Stanley Cup. A red one to be exact.

This little shopping trip would lead Artemis to discover a trend that was quickly taking over Equestria, and he doesn’t like one bit.

Spike and Ember's hard work together in the Gauntlet of Fire failed. Neither retrieved the blood sceptur or became Dragon Lord. But neither did Grable. Equestria was safe, for a while. The new Dragon Lord later decided that Equestria was done and has unleashed all dragons under his command to rampage and destroy Equestria. Some Dragons really hate ponies, others just want their pillows. No matter what the reason, it means pony blood must be shed.

The war has been waging for several years. The Wonderbolts were easily outmatched in the air. Project Alicorn Wings was started to reclaim the skies and support the ground troops who were also hunting the Dragons. Unicorns and Earth Ponies join their Pegasus brothers in the air, using steel wings and behind guns, busting up and killing dragons whenever they come to threaten their homes.

Defending their homes means many make the ultimate sacrifice. And every engagement doesn't guarantee the death of a Dragon.

They will sorely be missed. And Vincent's sacrifice will never be forgotten!

This story was finished and first published on December 7, 2018 - 77 years after the attack on Pearl Harbor by Imperial Japanese Navy Planes. There could not be a better release date for a memorial piece like this. Over the next 4 days, the United States of America would be plunged into two wars.

Spike has always loved Pokémon. He collected all sorts of Pokémon stuff as a kid. Now as a ten year old, he heads to see Professor Cottonwood, who is the Acaria Region's expert on Pokémon. In exchange for getting a Pokémon, Spike has agreed to help the professor with her research. Her research is the strange ruins that are scattered across the region, and if they have any ties to the earthquakes that have been plaguing Acaria. Along with the earthquakes, there are of course the multiple Cults looking for Legendary Pokémon, but nobody knows what they plan to do with the Legendary that each cult is looking for.

Spike has been seeing carnivorous creatures at Twilight's School of Friendship bring in their own lunches. It's making him want to get his own claws on meat, but with meat being so rare in Equestria he's having a very hard time.

Gallus got into an accident and had his arm cut off and now has a prosthetic arm and is learning to use his new arm.
