Sassaflash has a problem. When she wakes up she doesn't know what she's done the night before. Then other things come up that just fuel her questions even further. She's going to need some help.
A long, exhausting journey by sea comes to an end as the Venturer, a merchant ship, approaches the docks of Baltimare. On board are ponies such as as Edmond Dash, the first mate of the vessel, and Danglarjack, an equally ambitious as mysterious mate.
Edmond in particular is grateful to be home at last. His heart yearns for his soulmate, Shycedes, a beautiful mare who had lost both her parents in a tragic incident one year ago, living her life as an orphan ever since.
But in his hurry and eagerness to meet up with both family and loved one, he turns a blind eye on those that wish him harm.
The next days will be joyful for him, that may be certain, but his enemies don’t rest, and they won’t show pity.
This story is quite obviously heavily inspired by the ‘The Count of Monte Cristo’ musical and the animatics of the musical, created by Ink Potts. This also means that most of the Mane Six are playing male roles in this story, as they did in the animatics.
This is not an exact replica of the story, however, and will vary in various places and outcomes.

“Why do we get gifts every year?” said Dinky. “For Hearth’s Warming, I mean.”
This seems an easy enough question, but Ruby Pinch never had it easy. Trying to find out the real reason for all this gift-giving, she confronts the odd bond between the energetic Dinky and the reserved Amethyst, the simple-minded approach of her hapless cousin Piña Colada, and, on top of that, her beloved "Auntie" Berry, who's a confusing trial all on her own.
And then there's Ruby herself. For, sensible young mare as she thinks she is, she has her own growing mistrust of the answers she seems to be getting. Especially when it comes time to find her own gift.

Berry Punch struggles with foal-services leaves Berry with some very simple choices, either get her act together or give up your foal for life, and when Berry finds herself in need of a job, she is going to have to stay off the sauce if she wants to keep providing for her darling Pinchy. However, foal-services doesn't end their pursuit in gaining custody of her child and sends an agent to gather information on her, only to find out she is a kind caring mother.
Now if only everypony else could see that...
on a side note; it's a drama story, there is no tag for that but that's what it is.
When you decide to go to the annual Hooftoberfest you never really know the number of fascinating ponies you'll meet while you enjoy the festivities. None of that really matters to ex-Wonderbolt cadet Lightning Dust who's there to try and forget the fiasco that was Wonderbolt training camp. A new name, new look and even new cutie mark. She's gone the whole nine yards to put her past behind her. Unfortunately for her, she's woefully out of bits. Never one for taking a handout, she butts heads with a pony that she thinks is just one more drunken loser out to drink there problems away.
Rated T for alcohol consumption.
There are so many popular depictions and interpretations of ponies. So amusing. So "cool" and "edgy" and "hipster friendly" and "crunk" and whever other words are used to describe twisting, turning and abusing ponies. Candy-colored ponies deserve better than to be abused, molested and killed.
Deep down, Pinkie Pie has always wanted a special somepony. When Rarity helps cheer her up, she starts to think a little more about the gem-loving designer.
What will Rarity think of this? And what does Berry Punch have to do with anything?

Even though Berry has had very many rough nights that were much worse, last night was the first time she's actually thought about it the next morning. Was her last rough night enough to change her life?
