It was supposed to be a normal night. Attempt number two at a slumber party for Twilight Sparkle. While her friend Applejack couldn't join in the fun, she was still delighted to have her friend Rarity with her. But how will the night end when she lets her biggest secret out?

Rainbow has a crush, and Rarity seems to be the only one who wasn't informed. As she searches for the identity of Rainbow Dash's new love interest, Rarity questions whether or not her conclusions are based on reality... or on what she wishes were true.

Rarity answers a fashion emergency for Princess Luna herself. In gratitude, Luna offers her a chance to meet her adopted nephew.

Near the end of March 2011, Equestria Daily announced an April Fools' Day short story contest. I was well into Half the Day is Night by then, but I thought I'd put together a little something about Fluttershy's first attempt at an April Fools' Day joke.

The story didn't advance past the first round in the contest--it was in the same bracket as the eventual winner, actually--but I still enjoy it.

All Sweetie Belle wanted was one pony to show up to her audition. Just one. And what with everypony else so busy, she was thrilled to know that Rarity would be there for her...

...but she didn't show. It was an empty theater.

Rarity and Spike do lunch every week. It's purely platonic, of course. Just two friends meeting to chat over a mid-day meal, somehow always shortly after something noteworthy has happened around town...

...Odd how that works.
