Ditzy awakes after an evening out at one of Pinkie's parties. Her vague memories of the previous night were brushed to the back of her mind, but just as she was about to start getting ready for her day, a surprising arrival causes her day to take a turn for the unexpected.

Bon Bon makes candy. It's just in her nature. She's done it since she was very small. However, many of her usual customers are going to Canterlot, for Doughnut Joe has revealed new pastries and candies the likes of which Equestria has never seen. Bon Bon isn't happy about that, so when she discovers that the secret ingredients for Joe's candies are being transported from Ponyville by Derpy, she gathers some cohorts together to stop that Derpy!

Everypony has known Derpy Hooves to be a Ponyville staple for as far back as they can remember. Their mail has always gotten delivered on time, at least as long as everypony can remember. But when Twilight Sparkle is doing some research for her upcoming book on the history of Ponyville, she comes to startling realization: nopony can actually recount when Derpy came to Ponyville, or why she came there to begin with.

And when Twilight goes to ask her, she finds she may not have been prepared after all, for the repercussions of her one simple question: Just who is Derpy Hooves... and how far is she prepared to go for the ones she loves?

Written for the May prompt, "the first time", for the now-revitalized Competition Arena. Rated just to be safe.

Since neither of them have dates for the Spring Fling, Flash Sentry and Ditzy Doo both agree to go together as friends.

Unfortunately, this leads to Canterlot High thinking that they're actually dating.
