Going Through Rework

When the lands were covered by fire and magic, not everything was consumed in quite the same way. Some creatures were spared the immediate horrors of the end of the world just to be warped and twisted by what was left behind. Others got to experience them first hand.

With Sunset on her way to be thrown out of the Castle with her meager belongings, she makes a decision to run. With confusion, despair, and heartbreak fueling her, she makes it to the mirror and throws herself through moments before being caught. Hesitant to follow, Celestia watches in horror as the mirror cracks, severing the connection between her and Sunset, who is now trapped on the other side.

Sunset, pony-turned-human witch, along with Philomena, now has to navigate this new world, all while Sunset looks for a possible way home. Will she start to call this place home? Does she deserve to call Equestria home when she ran away from it? A chance encounter and Sunset starts her journey of discovering who and what she really is. All while attending her first year of schooling all over again at a magic academy called Hogwarts.

My name is Philomena.

I have held many other names, but this one has stood the test of time. I can still remember when she gave it to me, and that in itself is a testament to its importance.

I must tell my story, before I once again forget.

Adaptation of Bizet's Carmen.
Place: Ponyville, and surrounding countryside.
Time: After the pilot episodes, roughly same as "A Bird in the Hoof".

Philomena, the enigmatic, playful and somewhat arrogant Phoenix had made her presence known in Ponyville. How will the musicians cope with this most unusual bird? And how will they straighten out Fluttershy, who was smitten by her?
