Every race in Equestria has their own unique holidays, but none are more ancient (or strict) than the traditional yak celebration of Snildarfest. The yaks have sung the same songs, smashed the same logs and consumed the same feasts as they have for thousands of moons, and that's just the way they like it.
However, when Yona invites her friends to help introduce some new holiday traditions, she drives a wedge between herself and her single-minded kinsfolk, and attracts a vicious storm from Equestria's distant past. What will become of Yakyakistan?

This story was written as part of Ponyville Ciderfest's Interactive Storytelling Adventure, and features three possible endings (Hero, Villain or Chaos). Feel free to read whichever ending(s) you like!

With every passing year, the students of the School of Friendship add more and more traditions to celebrate together on Hearth's Warming Eve. This story chronicles but one occurrence of one of their favorite traditions, the Annual Hearth's Warming Hunt.

Well... their favorite tradition save for Gallus. After all, he's the one being hunted.

After a long week, Yona is exhausted and just wants a quick nap before dinner. However, in her sleep, the yak has made herself comfortable against Sandbar, who is unsure of what exactly to do in this situation.

Normally in fanfiction, the human gets to Equestria and gets to shag loads and loads of mares. Unfortunately for Devin, he gets thrown off course, landing square into the Frozen North, where the snow is aplenty, the lack of life is high, and the only ones to save him, are yaks. They like to smash...

...and smash again.

Hopefully Devin will survive the initiation ritual, or die trying.

Another idea that was inspired by FamousLastWords's brainstorming session. Maybe he needs to write more HiY/HiE on his main instead of shipping an aged-up Spike with every female character in the show. Nah that's not going to happen.

This story is a sequel to Silverstream gets kidnapped

Technically a sequel, but happens simultaneously with the previous story and does not require reading it or any other entries in the series.

Returning home for a summer break, Yona finds Yakyakistan on the brink of a civil war. While Prince Rutherford wants to open his country to the world and ally with ponies, a group of traditionalist Yaks under Prince Bradford want to return to the traditional isolationism.

As the threat of War of Two Brothers looms over Yakyakistan, Yona finds herself surprised by the stubborn stupidity of some of the yaks she used to look up to. The Student of Friendship faces her greatest challenge at the doorstep of her home, but she has no doubts – she is Yona, and Yona is the best! She will stop this stupid war before it starts!

As usual, minor Equestria at War references in names and locations. Knowledge of EaW not required at all to enjoy the story.

A month after Gallus' attempt to delay the other students from leaving instead of just telling them his problem, Fluttershy decides to hold a special session on sharing your feelings with your friends. What follows is a series of confessions and discussions by the students about the things that bother them.

This is me experimenting with Slice of Life and Drama, which I've always felt was a place I needed practice. This idea went through my head after watching The Hearth's Warming Club, and I finally decided to sit down and write it so y'all would have something for the Hearth's Warming season, AND because there's not enough of the Young Six, who have become some of my favorite characters in the show.

Developing romantic feelings for a friend is awkward.

It's extra awkward when you're a ruler, they're an ambassador of another nation, and oh, bonus, they were raised immersed in that nation's culture and so you have no idea if the signals you're trying to give are even being picked up on.

On a visit to Ponyville to catch up with Spike, Ember has just noticed how handsome her first and best friend has gotten, and has no idea what to do with herself about it. She needs to figure that out asap, and so needs some advice, badly. Thankfully, ponies are good with mushy-feely things, so she just needs to track down the local romance expert and shake them down.

And hopefully not burn the town down in the process.

It’s time for another friendship mission. This time it’s for Ocellus and Yona to go to Canterlot. Twilight’s old friends, Minuette, Twinkleshine, & Lemon Hearts, have been interesting a stallion since the start of the new school year. Stranging, they all seem to be more interested in the same stallion rather than each other. The changeling and yak are suspicious about this and have the right to feel that way.
