Today I lost another friend to unexpected illness. That is two in as many weeks.
I am tired. I am sick myself. I am watching two family members suffer as they go to hospitals and emergency rooms on and off. I cannot take care of those I care about, and can barely take care of myself. And in the end, I am ultimately helpless to all of it.

I am so, so tired of feeling beaten down by death and loss.

Do me a favor. None of you fuckers die over the next few weeks. Just put it off a little.

Today as news from my Sister that Joy has passed away.
She has fought bravely through her ordeal.

I have to keep telling myself that as I fight a craving for peanut butter cups.

Was running errands early today.

Passed by a Memorial service held for a poor family who had lost a loved one.

It got me thinking about someone in my life who I had lost, how life just moves forward without skipping a beat.

Oi, I tried my best to wear a smile today, but overall I really just felt drained.

It's nearing that time of year again, when I just felt the pressure of my loss the worst.

In under two days, "Prismatic Symphony" has skyrocketed to being my second most popular fic, and also has the best like-to-dislike ratio of any of my fics. Considering this was just a quick thing that I did to *ahem* spite Kodeake, that is truly amazing. I just, really don't know what to say.

Today is a really freaking good day.

After two 24-hour fasts and one 26-hour fast this week, I decided to do my weigh-in a day early.

I'm glad I did.

Six more pounds down, for a total of 23 over the past four weeks.

I'm down to 280.

When I started this intermittent fasting journey, I was at 303 lbs. That's not absolutely huge because of my height of 6'4, but still needed to get under control. I stopped posting updates about my progress a few weeks back because I came to my first plateau at 280 lbs, and that frustratingly persisted for three weeks.

Luckily, I pushed through it, and last week, weighed in at 277, and just this morning before a late (and lite) breakfast, I came in at 274.
