The Lunar Samurai

If you are enjoying my stories, I thank you. Nothing means quite as much to me as someone really appreciating what I put out into the world. So, from the bottom of my heart... Thank You.

Aaaand life strikes again. Explanaiton for no new chapter for Christmas week · 7:45pm Dec 27th, 2016

So, aside from the issues my editor is dealing with, I've lots yet another pet. Just an FYI the following might be a bit graphic

I can't, at least for now, continue with the story because of what I saw in her unmoving eyes last week. For those who don't know, my dog died vomiting up blood from her stomach; a complication from the medicine she was taking. We thought she might have a chance to pull through, but unfortunately after the vet stabilized her 107F temperature, she continued to decline. A few hours and another round of bloody vomit later, I finally decided to let her go. There was only one thing I wanted for her that day, and that was to be comfortable before we put her down. Instead, the only thing she could do was grunt when I petted her for the last time. She couldn't turn her head, blink, or even move her eyes.

What made this whole situation worse was the fact that she was perfectly fine the night before. Either way, I took a break last week because of that. These next chapters, well, the'll be hard to write with that fresh imprint in my mind.

This was her about a week earlier.

God, I am so sorry. :(

Oh man...

Certainly sorry to hear that.

I know how that feels, my dog died in my arms a few years ago.
Take solace in the fact that your dog lived a happy life with a family that loved her, and wasn't alone.

4358598 That's what I'm trying to do. It definitely helps that she had a great long life. Right now I really only feel sorry for myself because I miss her so much.

4358086 Thank you, it means a lot.
