I managed to draft another ch (for a current total of 8 chs ready for editing) before I go away to CA the rest of the month for a family vacation. Also, my good buddy who's editing the story his computer started working again out of nowhere (none of the techs can figure out how it started up again but we're not complaining) and we've managed to put in a little work to Act 2 ch3. With any luck I'll be able to publish a ch or two in August before classes begin for Fall Semester.

What a weekend. I don't know about you guys, but I finally got my hands on a copy of Halo 5: Guardians and played through it. The short? It's a good thing the multiplayer is so good (and I do mean good) because the campaign and story are flat-out awful. And I do mean awful. The shooting's fun, and the environments are neat ... but the story is a hackneyed, jumbled, poorly thrown-together mess, and the dialogue ... oh the dialogue ...

In the mean time, I wrote a Speedfic to read at the local fan-club's Nightmare Night party which got some pretty positive feedback, so I'm hoping it can tide y'all over. Lords of Harmony is now updated with the next chapter, putting us at the halfway mark of Act 2 (Shadow of Malice). Beyond this point, it's plot reveals and big battles, all leading up to the major plot point and epic battle I've been buiding up to since the very beginning!

As you know, the recurring and most dangerous villain in my fimfics is the mercenary leader, Cascadius. I have never, to this day, described his appearance in order to keep a sense of mystery about him.
I was preparing to finally describe him later in the fic when the Mane 6 first confront him in person but part of me's afraid the suspense is dragging on too long. Does anyone want him described sooner?
