Hey, everyone. I'm back and ready to get started again with Villain Critique. But before that, let's go over the rules of this series:
I've got very little writing of any kind done over the past month, thanks to various distractions, most notably struggling for a month to restore functionality to my desktop computer.
Today I spent over 300 miles of driving to get the last piece required for a fully functional design computer. On the way back, I poked my head into a theater and watched the pony movie thing.
All thoughts in spoilerspace.
Saw this earlier in the week and had my thoughts ready.
Hey guys! It's been a while, hasn't it? You guys doing good? I hope so. I just got back from a long, strenuous shift at the hotel. Boy oh boy, that one was something. Very tired, but staying strong.
Yes, despite my sickened state, I am still going to give a review. I don't know if there's anyone who hasn't seen or heard about the episode yet, but I am still going to put a page break so that way nothing is spoiled.
No. Critique’s thoughts echoed in his mind as he combed shelf after shelf looking for the perfect story to review. It was a chore that he had been working all week. And yet, he was no closer than when he started.
Just Like Old Times managed to land on a Ponyfic Roundup post by Louder Yay yesterday. I'm kinda glad that it gave the story some exposure, and they even gave it a two-star rating out of, what I believe, five. Before this, the story was sitting at a 24/1 ratio with about 350 reads, and now it stands at around 660-ish views with a 60/1 ratio. These are good things, honestly. It means people
I highly encourage critique of my work! I'm not a toddler and won't throw a tantrum. All I ask is that if you take the time to write a comment, good or bad, please pull from my work so I know what you're talking about and can make changes. I'm hear to learn and to pass valuable advise along, so feel free to share what you know, and I will do the same. Thanks so much!
Hey, everybody. I’m talking about someone else’s work today, which probably seem weird with how quiet I normally am, but I was just… very surprised at how well a Royal Guard themed story I was reading was executed. I’m glad I stuck it out, because the first chapter—while it does set the premise—almost turned me completely away. Everything after that, though?
Okay, so I spent an hour or two idly perusing this here site a while ago. Mostly reading comments and threads. Now, I’m the type of person who’s drawn to extreme qualities, both good things and bad things. Most people are like that, I think. They’d say that there’s nothing more boring than mediocrity. At least I say that. The original Star Wars movies are a great watch. The prequel-trilogy is also a great watch. They’re not ‘great’, they’re a ‘great watch’, I actually appreciate them. So many
Alright, this is probably the one episode that I could stand that included Applebloom. I very much liked the idea of the plot and did enjoy it, it made me laugh a few times and the message in the end really drove it home for me. Very heartwarming and just good feels all around.
Here's the episode!
So yeah, leaked ep, of course I watched it.
