Greetings Aspiring Writers!
If you're one of the writers signed up to the Season 9 Bingo Writing Contest, you now have just 24 hours to get your stories into the folder.
The Season 9 Bingo Writing Contest shut its doors when the first episode aired, but authors have an extra week to publish further chapters, fix any typos etc, and just generally finish their stories.
Authors, remember to mark your stories complete!
You have less than 24 hours left: 11:30 EDT.
If you're one of the fairly large number of people around here with an interest in writing original fiction as well as ponyfic, it could reward you to investigate JaPGaxie's "The Next Generation" contest. Possibly even literally, given the $350 prize fund, though given the likely calibre of the competitors I'm sure the challenge itself will be a major attraction for many. It's for short stories (3k

There were 55 entries.
I could only narrow it down to 8 without help.
These were very good.
I am very tired.
If the announcement post has spelling errors, I am sorry.

Yay winner.
Please, let me sleep now.
Please. For the love of god.

I need a bit more time to plan the Trick-Store, but I will be hosting a mini-contest tonight as usual.

The first draft of my Blueblood story is done, at 14,966 words! 34 words under the maximum wordcount for Imposing Sovereigns II: Electric Boogaloo!
Me, right now.
Great. Now, I just need to edit it without making it any longer. That should be fine. It's not like I'm a chronic under-writer whose seconds drafts balloon out, or anything.
Hello, readers and writers. I humbly bring to your attention a contest regarding the adorable, irreplaceable Cozy Glow. Won't you consider entering?
It's time for a little raffle! One randomly selected entry will receive a story written by me!
Well it's the 16th of May and we are drawing closer and closer to Jun 1st, so I figured that it would be good to give you all a reminder for the Cyberpunk Equestria Story Contest.
Cyberpunk Equestria Story Contest
So far there are only 3 stories in the contest folder. I do hope there will be more in the future.
I've already blogged about my writing victory:

And now you can enjoy this contest-winning story published in my anthology:
We have two more entries slipping in before the deadline (tonight at Midnight). We have an entry from ReaderRyn:
The Dusk Guard VS The Crystal Golem by ReaderRyn
And then we have this entry from Commander_C22:
This was my idea, and it would not leave my brain, so here it is.
Contest description here. What we're trying to do is to find the MLP fanfic that is the MOST like My Immortal. Not the worst fanfic ever, but the one most like My Immortal, widely considered one of the worst fanfics ever written. You'll find details at the link.
And so it begins... Convention season is upon us, and I, Xepher, am once again your friendly neighborhood writing track lead for Everfree Northwest. We've been rather silent during the off-season, but that's about to change as things start spinning up. We're working to bring you the best writing events in the fandom once again, and hope that many of you can join us this spring in Seattle for three days of ponies and writing... and music, art, gaming, show guests, and all that other boring,
Hello one and all,
The lovely folks at the Royal Canterlot Library are feeling ambitious and have decided to let us plebians try our hands at doing their jobs again.
The contest is called Correct the Record and goes thusly:
Boosting a very interesting contest prompt here. GMBlackjack has put together a fascinating concept for Depth in Innocence: Make a deep, thought-provoking story that's rated E.
Might as well work my way to 300 blogs now, eh?
Hey guys, you remember that bingo game I had with iisaw way back when for Season 7? You know, that one where he won and I had to share three embarrasing things? Yeah, that one.
OK, honest, I'll get back to work on Changeling Space Program now.
I've just sent out the 100th prompt card in the Season 10 Bingo Writing Contest. There are now 100 places left, so grab yourself a card while you can.
Got a new story up for a contest I'm in. If anybody's interested, I'll leave a link.
