Introduction
Frenemies Talk, Chapter XVII: Crusaders of the Lost Mark
"Alright Gulheru, take it easy, it's just a Crusaders' episode. They will be stupid, cause an issue, learn an obvious lesson and we can advance onto more pressing concerns..."
In this week's episode of MLP, Pinkie Pie learns that Shining Armor and Princess Cadance are having a baby but she has to keep it a secret so that the reveal can be a surprise. Now Pinkie Pie must try her hardest to keep her mouth shut or risk ruining Shining Armor and Cadance's surprise...
Peter Jackson’s extended edition of the final entry in his Middle Earth saga does a wonderful job at not only fixing many of the flaws that bogged down the theatrical cuts, but also serves as a fitting end to the saga.
Since today is 'Back to the Future Day' (aka October 21st, 2015, the day Marty McFly arrives in the future in Back to the Future Part 2), I decided to watch the first entry in the franchise, and see if it holds up all these years later.
And, in a moment that will likely get me some heavy flack, I find that it, in fact, does not hold up in my opinion.
Just got back from the big BvS:DoJ. I'm glad I saw it, which fulfills the purpose I had in dragging my friends out to go see it tonight in spite of all the reasons not to.
I'm not upset that I still haven't seen Man of Steel, in other words.
But I just had to see how this one turned out. Mostly because I'm Batman. And now I have. And I have thoughts on it.
Well this...honestly isn't going to make it into my Top 3 season premieres. It wasn't completely awful, but it also didn't impress me. It was an interesting concept for an episode, but they did quite a few things wrong. Overall I give it a modest 4/10. Probably wouldn't watch again, but that doesn't mean it was completely bottom tier.
In this week's episode of MLP, Rarity and Pinkie Pie are sent to Canterlot by the Cutie Map. There, they find a struggling father-daughter restaurant and decide to help the pair. But Rarity and Pinkie Pie soon find themselves disagreeing about how to go about improving the restaurant.
Luna and the CMC? How can this go wrong? ...Jeremy Whitley, Jay Fosgitt, Heather Breckel. Well if you wanted to actually screw up this concept, that's about the best chance you could give it.
Maybe it's because I heard some of the bad buzz on this episode going in and my expectations were thus lowered, but I didn't really mind this episode as much as everyone else seems to.
Hey there, authors! This is your old pal, Dark Avenger, bringing you another important lesson from the world of FimFiction. Some of you might already know me as the most pro-ass author among the most pro-ass authors, doing the best reviews and talking about good stuff in general. But for those of you living under a rock, let me introduce myself. I'm actually a true original professional expert author person who wrote like 420
So as I vaguely alluded in a previous post, I was fortunate enough to be a panelist for this year's Bronycon writer track. The lovely staffers there were kind enough to record videos of all of the panels and upload them to Youtube. For your viewing pleasure, here is Prof. Plum,
Let me explain why Starlight Glimmer was the mos terrifying villain in all of MLP to me! Oh I have a lot of reasons! And of course go over her...less than stellar reform.
Oh and stay tuned til after the credits for a special message!
The Siege of the Crystal Empire took a very underdeveloped and unimpressive villain and made him into an interesting, sympathetic, three-dimensional character. So, who's next?
...Diamond Tiara... pre-COTLM... and it's written and drawn by Christina Rice and Agnes Garbowska, the same folks that did Ponyville Days...
Pollo, get the booze!
I've noticed that in the short time that my newest story, "I Just Need Some Time...", has been uploaded, it's got some very... Negative ratings, polar opposite of what we'd call reassuring; so my question is this:
Is the writing itself bad, or are people just upset with the dark nature of the story?
And now, now I get the Petriculture Cycle finished with Pandelirium. For those of you tired of those stories, have a newly discovered author to go along with it. Oh, princeps, in case you're wondering, Song of Madness will probably be out tomorrow.
February 14th to us it's known as Valentine's Day. The pony equivalent would be Hearts & Hooves Day. Both days exist so that couples can show their affection and all that jazz. That's why everything skyrockets in price on that day. Radio announcers hock flowers and strawberries while jewelry stores run their own ads.
Recently, I got a request from Unclever Hans to be a pre-reader for his story in light of my occasional reviews.
