Hey, folks. Here's another of my general writing update blogs. Skip ahead or skip over to whatever story you're interested in. They’re listed in the order I’m working on them. Tagging Eros readers for this one since the blog does mention and describe the next Eros chapter to be written within the next month.
And not helping is the fact I had a recent health scare I'm still recovering from.

Let’s start with some good news. AJ_Aficionado is now a week-plus removed from his procedure, which basically kinks his lower esophagus like a spiral sink trap right above the stomach to prevent acid backwash. He reports he has some minor reflux after surgery, which is said to be normal and should disappear with time along with the post-operative pain. He went home at least briefly, but is staying with family for at least as long as he needs to remain on a liquid diet.
It seems I have another issue to address.
I have to admit, I’m regretting doing the griffon arc right now. 
For as much fun as it was for me to write, it should have been a side story given how much of a distraction it turned into. And even those who liked it continue to complain about even the revamped ending, wanting the dragons to have won.
After receiving pleas from multiple readers to keep the Enter the Griffon chapters in place, I have decided to do so and go with my original plan, which was to simply offer new readers the chance to skip over them when they come and then write the current chapter to catch anybody who does skip
Based on some events that transpired not too long ago and from some thoughts in my head, I bring this to you. Word of warning, it's a little close to home.
The next chapter of Nightmare Night is well underway and currently coming at a slow to moderate clip. I've got 6100 words down so far and as these are the story's climactic chapters, there's a good chance that this will double that length before all is said and done. I think now that the entirity of the Sunset/Twilight duel will be done in one chapter as opposed to two, though.
Here is now the promised announcement of the release schedule for "The Strange Case of Dinky Hooves' Cutie Mark Curiosity", the spiritual successor of "Aunt Millie" I talked about here!
Currently, I am still busy revising the first chapter, which is taking much longer than I thought, since I could find a lot of errors in there and keep finding new ones.

Got a two-fer for y’all today!
First up, Muppetz’s Catch and Release.
Y’all may have noticed that one, it was in the feature box. Technically not a not-a-contest submission, but Jetty does work for the EPA, so that ticks a box.
We all love seaponies (we do, right?) because they’re adorable.
The next chapter of Nightmare Night now stands at 6500 words, with four completed sections and two half-finished ones. The latter, to little surprise, are the CMC scenes. They were coming along agonizingly slowly until I found the proper angle for them. Like Rarity, they needed proper treatment that respected their characters and even let them shine. Is that possible here? Based on what I came up with, yes! But no spoilers there.
I have two releases targeted for September. One is a second chapter of Midnight Rising. The other, Feathered Hearts fans will be happy to know, is a fresh chapter of Continuation and Chronicles. Feels about time to write it.
Haven’t given an update on Eros in a while. The short of it is that I did resume work on the new chapter over the past few days to the tune of getting it up to nearly 4,000 words, but was only able to write it in fits and starts given I’m still recovering from this illness.
Not a bad showing for a story that breaks the rules of most successful Fimfiction clopfics, for a) not being about the Mane 6, b) not involving ponies, and c) not being a second-person, anon-based futa or anthro fic; never mind the fact that I was borrowing another author’s story and characters for its basis. Then again, I already did that in Five Star Service and The Lawyer and The Unicorn, which were also quite successful over time, so that’s a good or bad habit of mine
Well, folks, two new chapters of the Feathered Hearts main and side stories are in progress, with the former just started and the latter in prereads, aiming for a Wednesday evening release. Sorry for the delay, given I really did want to get it done in time for publishing on Sunday morning. But the reason is that quite simply, the new Eros chapter is one of the longest clop chapters I’ve ever written, topping the scales now at 12,700 words. I had to work all weekend on it just to
Well, folks, it appears that I laid an egg with the last release of Midnight Rising, which was supposed to wrap the Griffon Kingdom side arc. I received not one, but two critical comments on it, with the latest coming just in the past couple weeks.
And as a result, the originally planned climactic chapter is going to have to be broken into thirds to keep the chapter size manageable. But for all that, I still don’t quite have a finished chapter pulled together, whether part 1, 2 or 3, though part 1 is close and should hopefully be off to prereaders this evening. The main issue is that I’ve got lots of individual sections and scenes written, but piecing them together and making the progression and escalation of events make sense is giving
I’m forced to break one chapter into two, because it got too big. The next Feathered Hearts chapter was already well over 17k words and probably on its way to 20k, which is a lot more than I typically allow in a single entry. It also had a natural breakpoint mid-chapter, so I elected to make use of it. This means you will be getting not one, but two new Feathered Hearts chapters in short order, each around 10.5k words each.
