He was bad. There was nothing left of the vibrant, joyous, colorful man I used to know.

The doctor called my Aunt and I in. He told us his condition. Pneumonia, fungal infection, complete paralysis, among other problems.

So bad was it, he said that there was nothing that could be done for him. That the best they could do was to prolong his condition until he died of something else.

After a lot longer than it really should have taken, I'm finally at a point where I can start publishing Thicker Than Water. I plan to put up about one chapter a week, although we're starting off with two because they're so closely intertwined. There are 27 chapters and an epilogue in total, at a little less than 200k words. I'm still tweaking things here and there so the final wordcount might go up or down. It's been a long wait, but I hope you all enjoy it.

It's been a while since I written another blog, and I'm here to tell you that one of the main reasons why Bitterness is only posting once a year aside from the daily grind of my job, I also been taking care of my dad who is recovering from liver cancer. So one year ago today I created my FIMfiction account, so to celebrate here’s an update! Like Father, Like Son’s second chapter “The Truth” will come out soon followed by a sequel to the dungeon of Spike called Judgement Days. After that I will focus on Like Father, Like Son’s final chapters and then return to the Grimdark scene.

I usually use the Hero's Journey as a structural guideline rather than being super literal about it, but I was looking at the chart and thinking about the story, and I'm like, "this sure seems like a good time for a meeting with a Goddess and a confrontation with a Father". So that's what I did.
