Progress: The Great Untold Story Of Our Time
TL;DR at the bottom
So first off, I want to say hello to all the new readers here on FIMfic. It feels great to know people enjoy some of my horse words. I honestly wasn't sure they'd break 100 upvotes, so it's been a really nice surprise to see how well they've been received so far. Also I want to give a nod to the readers who've known me for a long time and have given their support through the years as well, since they're the ones who made these stories what they are.
So, at Bronycon I finally met the guy who basically convinced me to turn The Iron Horse into a legit complex story and briefly edited it (and also did a panel with me, but I'll find that video later). We hung out, drank beer, and he sang this song from "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog."
As I guess I'm ... okay?
At least in the grand scheme of things. I'm lucky like that. I've mostly buckled down, and I've ... kind of gotten into a routine? Maybe? It's funny, as there were times I was like 'oh man if only I had time to just hang out and write and play video games' and OH HEY I JUST GOT MONKEY PAWED.
Stupid dramatic irony.
Priest and I wrote a thing. Here it is. It's legit TERRIBLE. Like. Zero redeeming qualities.
But by god, it was so much fun to write. I'm only like, a little ashamed. It was that fun.

Enjoy or don't, I'm happy either way. Just don't blame Priest if you hate it, was definitely not his fault.
...okay, like 10% his fault.

I really like posting a story every month so people remember I exist. But February snuck by me and nothing on deck is ready. All these long, complicated stories I'm carefully editing are slowing me down!
Reeeaaallly tempted to toss up some quick Twi Shining? I mean I had that thought and now I'm just wasting time going through Derpiboru incest tags and having a generally marvelous time. Except that most of the FlurryArmor is foalcon and I hate that shit.
Please read my three new stories, Rainbow and Sunset are very good people, The Pinkie Triangle, and AppleDash.
Notes: For everybody giving me crap about how Braeburn is AJ's cousin, yes, I am aware of that. I know dude, I'm not deaf, I've seen Over a Barrel! I know you may not mean to give me crap, but I know!
Notes: The Pinkie triangle is totally insane, I know.
We didn't have any school on Friday either, so that makes this a four-day weekend! And, of course, I have plans for tomorrow... namely, watching anime and LPs and getting hyped for Bad Luck by Pseudonymous Bosch, which comes out on Tuesday. (Silently praying for Max-Ernest to actually make an appearance in this book)
Ever have someone do something awful to you that completely screwed you over, but somehow the act made you respect their wit just a lil’ bit more?
Never liked getting fucked, but I always appreciate a good fucking.
Grading Scale:
A (fantastic episode)
A- (an excellent episode with at least one flaw)
B+ (a great episode with a couple of flaws)
B (a good episode which still could have been better)
B- (a good episode with numerous flaws but still rewatchable)
IN WHICH I WEIGH OPTIONS
Here in Flyover Country, it's Thanksgiving Eve. No gatherings obviously, but turkey's roasted. Enjoy music.
So, no real lead-in. Just please follow me past the "Continue Reading" prompt.
After watching her BBC montage, Theresa wonders if anything can go right in this world (while we wonder if anything can go right in this story). Apparently she has a ‘trademarked’ funny face, because her shopping assistant, Nancy, begins to laugh at how an eighteen year old with no experience in anything is supposed to take on such big responsibility.
Okay, let's get this out of the way, if you haven't seen the episode, you're gonna have a hard time keeping up, so go watch it.
Done? Okay.
So Mysterious Mare Do Well is probably one of the most maligned episodes in the entire MLP series. However does it really deserve that? I'm gonna take a stab at looking at what might be good about it through what's supposed to be bad about it.
First off:
This episode trashes Rainbow Dash's character!
I work with ex-military types, retired Master Chiefs mostly. And to deal with them you just gotta--I dunno how to describe it. They're not bullies (mostly), but they're forceful and their sense of humor is rough and you don't just have to be able to take it, you have to dish it out, too. At least a little. Not too much, because they're in charge. But if you can't give as you get then they won't respect you.
Illya Leonov has done me another kindness and lent his deep rich voice to the reading of my story, Space, Intentionally Left Blank. I am approximately twice as pleased as punch. Please have a listen! You can also listen to it, or download it, at Soundcloud.
Awhile ago, I had the great idea to write something that was based on a true story. (Un)Fortunately, I have a liking for the writing style of Hans von Hozel, the greatest writer to have graced the many fandoms on fanfiction.net. Even more (un)fortunate was that My Little Pony was beyond his time.
