Got home today from the store with my dad, and there are about 10 police vans, K-9, and a tow truck on my street. (It's a small street). My neighbors are in the back of the cars in handcuffs, they are towing their cars, that apparently are stolen. (I'm just guessing because the police were asking about them. Have we seen them, do we know who is driving them, etc.. There are bags of drugs on the hood of a police car.

So I was driving my car home today when I got stopped for a routine alcohol check. I was like the third car in line. So an officer approaches my car with the breathalyzer, I roll down my window, and I completely forgot I had Pony music playing on my CD player. I had the volume on low, but still. two days ago, six police marshalls were at my neighbors house and asked if I've ever seen any suspicious characters. Of course I said no and then they asked my grandpa. A few minutes later we hear an officer shouting for someone to get on the ground meaning they found their guy.

How can the police system be reformed in the US? As in fix the police system.

Disbanding them entirely would be insane. Unless, you want violent gangs to control your communities? Yet, at the same time you do not want the police to be completely useless.

If the police were disbanded, what would you have to keep order? Religious zealot inquisitors? Militia? Mob rule with show trials and guilty before proven innocent. What would you replace the police with to stop anarchy?

Why does it brighten my day watching these when it's hot outside?

I offer my condolence to his family and friends. His last words, "I can't breathe", are strongly reminiscent of Eric Garner's exact words before he died from being put in a chokehold. Firing the police officers is not enough. They need to be charged and face jail time for committing murder.
