Guys! I wrote a novel! :O
I know this is FiMfiction and there are novel writers everywhere, but it's downright strange to have an actual novel under my belt. So what did I actually learn from this once-in-a-lifetime experience?
It's been a while. In the past year and a half, despite occasionally crawling back here to whine about the show's direction, I've largely stayed away from Pony and spent a lot of time in other fandoms. My writing and my understanding of writing has been improved in important ways, and I've come to realize certain bad habits I used to have, (primarily in jumping in before properly fleshing out my ideas.) Furthermore, this time away from Pony has extended to my own multi-chapter stories, which
I fell behind a little. Time to play catch-up, starting with Equestria Girls 3.

Alrighty, folks. I'm gunning for 2,000 words/day this month, and even with my great run these last three weeks I'm still way behind on that goal. So I shall attempt to keep this short in spite of the many topics I want to cover today. Here's to 4k for the day!
I don't know what in the blue hell happened, but I suddenly had a wave of inspiration and creativity wash over me last night, to the point of writing over 4000 words in a night. I've NEVER done that before. On top of that, I've also almost finished the chapter I was working on because of it. Holy hell!
Anyway, just a quick, sudden update, that I may have some actual content on the way now!
I'm feeling a little bit better. I might be able to start writing soon.

... Do you know what I hate? When I look up peaceful piano music on YouTube and in the comments, you got folk telling their depressing stories about being abused and whatnot. I know people suffer but damn, that doesn't mean you gotta bring me down with you when I'm just trying to be inspired.

Not usually much for posts like this, but Octavia's Last Night is now completed and was featured on EQD. Nice little feather in the cap, especially since it's been a month of Sundays since I saw myself under the ol' blue header.
So, uh... that was certainly an adventure last week, huh? That good ol' Mykan story? Hooboy, that sure was a time.
This week sees us putting our "Three of Me: School Society" retrospective to bed at long last. I have no idea if it'll ever be revisited, but I think 24 chapters is enough for anyone.
