Well, other than getting wasted on New Years Eve on soda and candy and watching a mystical crystal ball descend for some reason, my slate is pretty much clean, so that means stories are going to be updated(Silence, Story of a Madman and his Box, Wings- A Difficult Experience), as well as some of my old ones getting that remastered finish that everyone loves(Librarian/The Cloak of Starswirl). So as you guys have likely seen, I have a new story goin' out right now. It's not exactly right to call it a story, though. Talking is Hard is meant to be an exercise so I can practice dialogue, which I've gone on record several times to say is the bane of my writing. But I'm not here to talk about that. Not quite.
I'm here to share the process I typically use when designing story covers.

Impostor Lenny trembled in fear as ZeroLenny's™ hand calmly hovered over to the temple's artefact.
"Oh for Goodness sake we haven't come all this way to leave empty handed, come on! Hold the bags open!!"
I managed to get sick this last weekend. It was a really rapid onset; within three hours I went from feeling totally fine to shivering uncontrollably, my head, shoulders, and arms aching, and a 102.8F fever which persisted for two days, along with some wonderful intestinal symptoms.
And then, today, I felt way better. Go figure.

Today is my seven year anniversary of joining this site. While I haven't posted on here in a while and am conspicuously not looking at any specific story I keep telling myself I'll get back to one day, I have still been somewhat active in reading on this site. The more time that's gone on, though, the stranger it is to look at the stories I have here, and not just because one of those stories is incredibly close to 1k likes, what the fuck.

Well, I couldn't think of anything fun/clever to do for the Question of the Week this week (sorry 
), so I decided to present a potential project that I might be working on for my Saturday DnD 5e group and see your thoughts on it. Hopefully that will be acceptable.

And the story already continues! This happened faster than I thought. There was a short thunderstorm on Monday and this means I could sit down and write the first update after the start and initial announcement.
I want to try out another writing experiment. A couple weeks ago, I was sitting here at my computer during a thunderstorm at night, when I suddenly heard the crying of a little girl coming in through my open window. Followed by a flash of lightning. It was an eerie cry and it got me to think about what things might lurk outside during such a thunderstorm in the middle of the night. And then there was this sentence in my head, this question..... "Maybe the little girl needed help?". Of course it

Okay, I have been waiting for a while now to make sure, but now it's the end of October, and it looks like there won't be any more thunderstorms coming this year. This means, Thunderstorm Story will have an intermission until late Spring, when the next thunderstorms are to expect.
