One of the small delights I have on this site is finding a story from an author that is clearly only starting out, but shows a lot of promise.
Such is the case with The Table Set by TheGuineaPig45. While there are two other canceled fics on their page published in 2016, this story is complete and very compelling in its simplicity.

Hello friends and followers! How are you doing on this [insert weather particulars here] [insert time of day here]? It's been raining pretty heavily in my neck of the woods, but an hour or two up the road sees cities and towns that have been placed under a state of emergency due to flooding, so I can't complain too much!
You guys, I've been waiting for this game forever! It's a Savage Worlds game, and the premise is essentially a riff on Super Mario Bros, with fantasy elements. It's friggin' neat!
Comes out next month. No idea what it's all about, really, but I thought you nerds might wanna know.
