In the frozen north of the world the lost realm of Equestria sits, bathed in the pale moonlight of its eternal moon. But on this day a lone figure has trudged across the border. Perhaps the long night is coming to its end.
Dusk Shine, archmage of Her Majesty Nightmare Moon, is assigned to aid the Lunar Inquisition in finding a terrorist known as "Ghost" where they last struck: Ponyville.
Nightmare Moon wasn't the fool shown in the show. In fact, the show never happened. Shortly after defeating Tirek, Twilight woke up in a prison, with a Diamond Dog doing his level best to either annoy her or get her out. She isn't quite sure yet.
Nightmare Moon won; Celestia is gone. The world is dying. The ponies are dying. Without a sun, hope is fading. In the dark, who can shine? But if they're lucky, there's a light at the end of the dark tunnel. There has to be.
What would happen, if Nightmare won during that first confrontation, and was actually a decent mare to begin with? This is what happened in that alternate universe!
when it comes to her lovers, nightmare is obsessive and persistant. So what happens when she falls in love with twilight from the main timeline? She chases her with her persanol hit squad of course.
When a great warrior and an even greater friend falls victom to a Dalek in Equestria will anyone remember her? Will the world fall to eternal night? Only the Doctor notices time cracking. Only the Darlek can win.
In an Equestria filled with magic and bending, Nightmare Moon has risen. With Celestia defeated, it is up to her prized pupil to save Equestria. Or at least, that's what she thinks.
When the world is basked in eternal night, a new plague spreads among the ponies of Equestria, turning them into living dead. The last survivors must fight through the hordes to reach Canterlot to put and end to the insanity.
