The Codex, one of the greatest works of dark magic ever forged, carries within its pages a limitless collection of vile, twisted spells, all specially devised for anypony who opens the cover.

What do you do with a book of dark magic? If you're Twilight Sparkle, you put it in your library. Because that's where books go.

After all, books are for everypony.

Flim and Flam aren't the kind of ponies one should trust with powerful magical artifacts. Reformed villains like Starlight Glimmer probably aren't, either. But there's no harm in the Memory Machine.

You can't change the past, but maybe you can drown it out.

It's a sunny afternoon, and all of the girls have managed to gather for a picnic on a hill.

Each has drifted in their own way; life has called them somewhere else.

Twilight Sparkle struggles to bring them back together: to make those giddy times return.

You have to learn how to say goodbye in life. Goodbye to friends and farewell to family.

But, sometimes, there's the odd few that will always be with you.

She asked me over to her house today, told me she needed to talk to me. Of course, being the awesome marefriend that I am, I rushed right over to see what she needed. But no matter what I did, I never would have been prepared for what she told me. My marefriend... Twilight told me she was getting married in a couple months.

And it's not to me.

Sunset has decided to return home... wherever that may be.

The orphanage where she was left?

The castle where the princess had emotionally abandoned her?

She walks the foreign but familiar world, hoping to find something to make her life worthwhile.

Will she find somewhere, or someone, to call home?

The Festival of First Flight is a pegasus-specific holiday, one Rainbow Dash has decided Twilight needs to partake in now that she's an alicorn, and thus part pegasus. Could it be that Rainbow has alternative reasons to bringing Twilight to the festival? And, more importantly, will Twilight discover what these reasons are?
