In the year 1014 ALB, Canterlot has fallen after years of long and hard fighting against the changeling forces. The Equestrian defenses were torn asunder from the inside through the efforts of Chrysalis' infiltrators corps and a certain changeling infiltrator sits atop a truck and remembers what was.

With the Great War finished, and life returning to normal, Slow Coach Jr. decides, on a Friday night with his Mother, to go play at the park.
Unfortunately for the Colt, things don't go as planned.

Jachs, a Generalmajor in the changeling army, and more recently Governor of Canterlot, thought everything was going well. Chrysalis had just crowned herself Empress of Equestria, and him along with his friends, Alcippe, Marsillio and Finicus had finally discovered their destinies in life. After a lifetime of war and conflict, he was finally finding a moment of peace.
Then the city and Protectorate of Manehattan fell to the Equestrian Liberation Front, and the ponies rose back up to defeat the changeling oppressors and restore Equestria.
Now, as the partisan forces move towards Canterlot itself, Jachs has come to a conclusion. The Changeling Hegemony is finished. The Heer stands no chance against the ponies fighting to reclaim their homeland.
So instead, he meets with his friends to pay a mare in the caves a visit.

Set in the world of the popular Hearts of Iron IV mod Equestria at War.

But what does remain tells the story of one Crimson Wire and his life during the Changeling-Pony war.

This story takes place within the universe of Equestria at War, and is inspired by the Pink Floyd album, The Wall.

1023. Ten years from the fall of Canterlot, and just one year from the decennial of the Changeling occupation of Equestria.

Tyrant, fool, supremacist -- the Worm. The pony that rebuilds from the rot of Equestria, bringing an ideology that was scoffed at in the Equestria of old.

But Equestria is not the same anymore. Years of Changeling occupation has embittered the ponies, and their strict rule and strange demands have safely put an end to the Harmonic experiment.

Stop Light is just one pony offering solutions for a new world amongst many, but after such catastrophe and loss, the ever-militant worms are seeming more and more necessary. Sure, it's not ideal, but friendship's hard when you're staring into the barrel of a rifle. Besides, he asks the question nobody else is willing to:

Would you like to see Equestria rule again?

Sergeant Star Strider, a regular hoofsoldier marched into Vesapolis at the close of the Great Changeling-Equestrian War, is held at gunpoint by a young changeling. Yet, when she looks into his eyes, all she can see is her own reflection.

With the war raging, a Changeling, hidden in Equestria, is given an offer.

The Changeling war machine rolled over Equestria in a little over a year. The following three years saw brutal oppression of Equestria by said Changelings, but now the Manehattan Protectorate, covering the eastern coast of Equestria, has collapsed. Out of it the Ponies' Front for the Liberation of Equestria, or Equestrian Liberation Front (ELF) has risen, sending the Changelings reeling as they try to minimise the damage and prepare a counterstrike.

But the uprising left many soldiers of the Heer trapped behind enemy lines, and surrounded on all sides by unfriendly ponies. This is the tale of one such 'ling and his unit, and how he saved his own life and that of the others.

Elain is a peaceful peasant, she grew up in a rural world inside a little and almost isolated village from the ancient kingdom of Olenia, where the industrialization and new inventions have not yet reached. An ordinary life is carried out in the village like in those days of the colonial era.

Life was quiet, these rural environments usually remained untouched by disputes between nobles and rarely affected the peasants, but the coming storm is not like the previous ones. Rapid and exorbitant technological advancement will change the world forever and the doe's fate will soon be cut short.

Chapters are generally presented in chronological order, but certain events from different parts of the world occur simultaneously so some overlap and inconsistent chronology is to be expected. OC and artwork attributions included in author's notes where appropriate.
