In the first Equestria Girls movie, it never actually tells us the conversation Applejack and Rainbow Dash have with each other on the soccer field, besides the recap from Applejack at the end. So all of the Appledash fans had to wonder.

What was actually said?

Applejack and Rainbow Dash have a real heart-to-heart and make up over an old grudge.

There's always a silver lining in the dark gloomy sky. All you need to do is find it.

Applejack has been through a lot in the past ten years. Her entire world has been crumbling before her eyes and there isn't a thing she can do about it. There's no way to stop the passage of time and time can be very cruel. Hopefully she will find the rainbow that comes after the storm.

I spent next to no time on this and really want to fix it up nice. Read it if you must but I promise in a couple weeks it will be much better.

Preparing for Hearth's Warming on the farm, Applejack is distracted as she waits for her marefriend to return from Wonderbolts training. What she doesn't know is that Rainbow Dash is bringing news along with her. Will the news be good or bad this year? And how will it affect the two mares moving forward?

Rainbow Dash narrates her own life. Because you just know she would do that.

Twilight and her friends are going on a camping trip. However, on the way, they lose half of their sleeping bags and tents. The six friends will have to share their tents with each other.

This might not be a big deal to everypony, but for Rainbow Dash and Applejack, who share a tent and a sleeping bag together, it changes everything.

Rainbow Dash has a question, a burning, nagging question, and there's really only one way to answer it. The question? Does her marefriend really smell like apples? Trouble is, the way to answering that question could potentially ruin her reputation as Ponyville's most awesome mare and make her... (Gasp) 20% less cooler. But will an unexpected late night flight lead to an answer?

It's Rainbow Dash and Applejack's first wedding anniversary, and Rainbow's set up a whole celebration! Something can possibly go wrong!

A lot has changed in the years since Twilight Sparkle left Ponyville to become the ruler of Equestria. Weddings and breakups and newborns and fashion empires and becoming leader of the Wonderbolts.

But Applejack is still where she has always been. At the edge of Sweet Apple Acres, resting against the dry stump of a long-dead tree, watching the sun set on the horizon after yet another day of honest work. Watching the years tick on by. Not getting any younger.

Today, Rainbow Dash is there, too. She isn't getting any younger, either.

Continuity

A partner piece to Companion, which expands on the future of the RariTwi relationship mentioned here, though that relationship is quite unhealthy.

Author's Note

Not only am I a 100% Rarity simp as my current bio indicates, but I also am a total simp and cuck for the RariJack ship. Yet older AppleDash is canon, thus I must bow to its reality. Both Companion and this story are my way of resolving this, though this story is the much happier half.
