Twilight Sparkle considers her owly assistant, Owlowicious, an invaluable helper and a wonderful friend.

But what if he's more than he initially seems?

The history books tell many tales of the great Star Swirl the Bearded, one of Equestria's most famous and talented unicorn wizards. But suspiciously, they are quiet on what ultimately became of the skillful stallion. Is there anypony who might know his ultimate fate?

Just one, and he says, "Hoo!"

In Equestria's distant past, before Celestia and Luna ruled, a magical experiment will be performed that will forever change the fate of Star Swirl the Bearded and help create the one and only Owlowicious we all know and love today.

This is their tale.

As with everything I write (unless otherwise noted), this takes place in what I shall officially call the Peregrine Fanonverse. The rules are simple: the show and all creator (Faust) canon is law, absolute fact not to be ignored or contradicted. Everything I write takes place in the same universe. This means references may be made to other stories on the occasion. But I will do my best to keep individual stories set apart enough to not be a problem. Otherwise, feel free to ask me any questions--I welcome any and all, and will answer almost anything.

One detail about this story specifically: transcribing an episode is tiring work, so I stopped this at a natural ending point. However, one day I will return and finish--I want all of "Owl's Well That Ends Well" in it. I will make an announcement when I do. Probably within the next month. After an unfortunate incident involving Rainbow Dash and herbal tea, Fluttershy wakes up one morning to discover that she has turned into a rabbit! With her friends unaware of her plight, Fluttershy must turn to Angel bunny to guide her on her quest to restore her original form. In the process, she is given the oppurtunity to experience everyday life in Ponyville from a whole new perspective, and discovers that there is much more to her friends' pets than she ever expected.

We don't know much about Owlowiscious. That's most likely a bad thing, because he has a pretty epic life that we don't get the privilege of seeing. So, right from the owl's beak, hear his chilling tale of battle and dancing field mice.

This is a bizarro fiction story, which means if random is not your thing, you will NOT like this.

A look at the Mane Six and one other from the perspective of those who are always by their side.

The pets of Ponyville are back again, with something a bit more substantial.

The pets of the Mane Six exjoy a fairly carefree existence, with relationships that satisfy and caretakers that give lots of love. They quite enjoy getting up to harmless mischief, usually at the urging of Angel or Opal, even in the grand city of Canterlot. Then they accidentally come across something they were not meant to, and the consequences must be dealt with in a very intentional manner.

One night, just like most nights, two friends decide to go out for a bit of fun and adventure.

Twilight has been noticing some change in Owlowiscious' behavior. Her feathery friend seems to be preoccupied with going out and about at night and stealing a random assortment of things, rather than helping her out at the library. She suspects the owl is reconsidering his place as her number two assistant.

Please note: This not a good owl going bad short story. Just to clarify. (I`m to big of an Owlowiscious fan to ever do that ;) )

From the small butterfly to the fierce pegasus, flight is one of the greatest gifts nature can bestow. A young robin, unable to fly, receives a lesson from a certain librarian owl.

Who could forget about the Superb Owl? Certainly not Pinkie! When she hears that everypony's favorite owl is going uncelebrated, she's determined to set things right, even if she only has an hour to do so.

(You know those stupid ideas that don't go away until you type them up? This is one of those. Written in about an hour.)

Owlowiscious has been acting strangely ever since the Crystal Castle sprouted. Spike doesn't know why, but now he knows he has to find out -- he can't just let Owlowiscious mope around forever! Something is bothering the bird, and he's going to get to the bottom of it right now.

As he's about to find out, the burning of the old library affected more than just the ponies.
