Every time Twilight sits down for breakfast lately, the world needs saving. All she wants is to eat her breakfast just once in peace. At Sugarcube Corners, Twilight orders a freshly baked, blueberry muffin from a certain gray mare with a talent for making muffins. When Celestia appears to send Twilight to save the world, she encounters a small hiccup in that plan.

Trixie doesn't understand how or why, but Twilight Sparkle has become her student with the ambition to learn stage magic. As Celestia and Luna learn lessons from beyond, questions arise. Why are the mane seven reappearing? Aren't these ponies part of the ethereal? If they no longer walk among those of Equestria, how is it they are being seen and even talked to? More importantly how does Celestia's Daughter, Starshine tie into all this? Is she responsible or could it be something else is at work here?
