A game of life and death. One chance to conquer it all, or perish in the process. Also known as The Pokemon Nuzlocke. The rules are simple:

1. Name your Pokemon to grow attached.
2. You can only catch the first pokemon you encounter on each route, in each cave and waterway.
3. If your Pokemon faints, it dies and must be removed from the party.
4. When your team wipes, it's a game over.
5. In order to win, the player must beat the League Champion of the Elite Four.

And when Princess Luna starts one by accident on a game cartridge made by Dr. Wondertainment; the game mode takes on a horrific new meaning. Especially when winning may cost her everything she holds dear.

8 years have passed since that fateful test, and Twilight has been taken under the wing of Celestia; to become the next heir to the throne. However, a Nightmare from the past will challenge that right.

Recently an uprising has been gaining traction, the Cult of the Nightmare Moon. They've been relentlessly promoting the return of Celestia's sister: the infamous Mare in the Moon. Years ago, they did something Twilight will never forgive. They took something precious from her. Something she can never replace. Her very being yearns for revenge.

When the sun goes down and with Nightmare Moon's return inevitable...one can't help but wonder, which one is the real Nightmare?

They protected the Princess without ever having been noticed. Now they've retired. When one of their own was murdered a year ago, they sort of drifted apart. Twilight has gathered them once more. She has one last mission for the group of mercenaries known as the Royal Patrol.

Donut Joe's. The Bakery has been the scene of so many times Twilight and her friends had together centuries ago. The establishment is closed now, the building in ruins. As Princess Twilight, the Ruler of Equestria, takes a trip inside and down memory lane, she remembers the times she had with them before they left.

Starlight has come to ask Celestia for her daughter, Twilight's hoof in marriage. Celestia is overjoyed yet heartbroken at the same time. You see, Celestia loved her first.

Unicorns are Elite. Just ask them. All must enroll in Celestia's Magical University in Canterlot. The motto however is adhered to without exception: Only the best, only the Elite. May Celestia show them mercy if they fail any task. The Princess however, has none to give.

In a society where knowledge is power, the unicorns of Canterlot refuse to be anything less than the best. Everything depends on it. Everything. Money, friends, it all is based solely on how well you've done at the Academy. Failure is not an option. But don't fret, even the failures will graduate...Eventually. They have to. Because at any cost all Unicorns must be:

Only the Best, only the Elite.

Spike is tired. He's been awake for over a thousand years and now it is finally his turn to sleep, once he is tucked in by Twilight, one last time that is.

Starshine has finally begun true redemption of those she Judged. Having awoken to the reality of her position, she realizes she can't do it alone. She enlists the help of Hazel, but can the Fallen Alicorn overcome her own shortcomings? Rage, Pride, Pain, Wrath, Greed and Lust. The Thestral Hazel embodies all of these. Her sheer hatred for her creations created her current form.
With Cozy Glow's help, the Thestral has cracked her own heart of ice. Now confused and searching for a way to regain her lost purity, the Elder Sister of Faust turns to Twilight's friends. But can the Fallen Alicorn overcome her own shortcomings in time to come to her Partner's aid?

She sat in the corner of Sugarcube Corners every day wearing an old ragged stetson. She never took it off, not for anything. For ten years the frayed and dusty hat stayed upon her head. One day as she sat staring out the window of Sugarcube Corners, the waitress asked her why she wore such an old relic. With a bittersweet smile, Applebloom told her a tale of ten years ago.
A horrible day in history Equestria would rather forget. Seven brave mares time forgot. And the vow her sister had made upon it's brim and the hope it symbolized for the withered mare.
