//------------------------------// // Absolute Perfection // Story: She's Perfect In Every Way // by DougtheLoremaster //------------------------------// Princess Celestia waited on her golden throne with her head in her hooves. Hurry up, Twilight! Where are you? Her sister Princess Luna paced back and forth. “Where is she, sister? It’s almost time!” Celestia’s voice was emotionless from years of handling crises.“I don’t know Luna, but I am sure she will be here soon.” Luna stamped her hoof in a huff, clearly not as patient as her sister “Well, she best hurry! The dragon summit will be starting soon!” Celestia calmly smiles as she sat there, watching Luna. “I have complete confidence in her, when has she ever failed me?” Luna racked her brain, actually trying to remember any moment where Twilight came up short, but she came up with nothing. “Never. You are right.” Celestia chuckled. “As always.” Luna noticed Celestia smirking after inserting that rather cocky remark. The princess of the moon sighed, rolled her eyes, and muttered angrily. “Of course.” At that moment in a flash of purple light arrived Twilight panting heavily. “I'm sorry I'm late, Princess! I just... I just finished examining the last one! I lost track of time!” Her horn glowing bright yellow, Celestia quickly took the folder Twilight was holding. “Good job my faithful student. Now hurry, Luna, it is time we go, we are already late enough!” *** Ember the Dragon Empress sat with her legs crossed on top of the stone table in the meeting room and narrowed her eyes. She was waiting for the pony princesses to come and was getting annoyed as she thought about how ponies are supposed to be always on time. "Where are they? They are late." The dragon escort behind her muttered about how they didn't know. She began to tap her nails in annoyance just as the door flew open and Celestia regally trotted in followed by Princess Luna. Although the white alicorn seemed to be a little tired, Celestia's warm and elegant voice could still be heard as she approached Ember. "Dragon Lord Ember, forgive the tardiness. However, I took it upon myself to personally follow up on the information gathered in this study that you requested, your highness." Ember nodded, though her face looked still less then pleased. Glaring angrily at her guards, she roared with a voice that would leave other ponies shaking in their hooves. "LEAVE US. NOW" Surprisingly, the guards barely reacted other then obeying her command. Once the guards had left, Ember's eyes softened. "Forgive that display, Princess Celestia. Dragons got to be strong all the time, you know? If I look all soft, it'll be my head." Celestia smiled and nodded. "Oh yes, Dragon Culture is quite fascinating. I particularly found the Claiming of the Valley to be of great interest." The Dragon Empress narrowed her eyes in surprise. "Oh my, you really read the history of my people?" Celestia laughed and using her horn a book that had to be a thousand pages thick appeared. "I spent all my free time this week on it. Quite fascinating, couldn't put it down." Behind Celestia, Luna rolled her eyes in disgust but stayed quiet. Ember smiled. "Truly you were the perfect choice to come to for my issue, no offense Princess Luna." Princess Luna glared at Celestia as the white alicorn shot a smirk her way and forcing a smile said through gritted teeth. "...None taken, your highness. Just glad you are pleased with the results." Ignoring her sister, Celestia slid the folder across the table towards Ember. "I think you'll be most pleased with the accommodations while you stay here on vacation." Smiling the Ruler of the Dragons, opened the folder and spoke happily. "I'm sure I-uh...Oh...Oh my...you uh, you really do go all out for dignitaries don't you? I...appreciate the gesture and...I...I need to go...and uh...take a cold shower!" Leaving the folder open on the table, Ember quickly rose, blushing profusely and exited the room. Luna curiously picked up the folder and upon seeing it's contents, her eyes grew as wide as dinner plates and she too blushed. "Uh...Tia?" Celestia was still staring after Ember in surprise. "How strange I wonder what got into her?" Luna tried again a little louder."Uh Tia?" Celestia stood there lost in thought, which she voiced out loud. "All that excitement over a little research?" Losing her temper Luna shouted at her sister. "TIA BY THE GLORIOUS REFLECTION OF THE SILVERY MOON LOOK AT THIS!" As Celestia looked at the contents of the folder, Luna shoved in her face, her face grew red. "TWILIGHT!!!" *** "What in MY NAME did you do?" Twilight was backed into a corner cowering as Celestia yelled at her. "I-I'm sorry princess! I-I just researched all the vacant plots and what they could hold at maximum like-like you asked!" Luna snorted and laughed on the other side of the room as Celestia shouted. "Twilight! I was referring to land not the mares who own the land! Mother of Me! What made you possibly consider this was what I meant?" Twilight nervously responded as tears filled her eyes. "You said that only I could do it because I-I was friends with the mares of those vacant plots and because I-I was the Princess of Friendship!" More snorts erupted from Luna as she read out loud the report from Twilight: After a week of non-stop research, I have exhaustively determined the best plots for the dragons to use as requested by Princess Celestia....Oh wow...who knew Berry Punch was so..." "Shut it Lulu! Twilight you made me look foolish in front of the Ruler of the Dragons!" "HA! Vinyl is a lot tighter than expected!" Glaring at her sister, Celestia shouted at her. "Luna in MY name, I command you to shush!" Turning back to face a cowering Twilight she continued yelling. "I am flawless, I am perfection. How dare you make me look like a fool?" Luna stared at the last name on the list and said softly. "Oh sister, come now. It isn't so bad." Turning to snarl at her sister, Celestia glared. "Not so bad? How can you possibly say that?" The astral princess laughed and said. "Because..." Luna's horn glowed as she held up the paper and turned it to reveal a very provocative drawing of Princess Celestia herself. Underneath the picture was the caption: I conclude with this; Of all the ponies I have examined in Equestria, Princess Celestia is easily the perfect candidate to take anything the dragons can possibly fit in that glorious plot of hers. Luna grinned and began laughing as she finished her statement. "You are absolutely perfect as always!"
