I never wanted any part of it, I just wanted to escape this hell. But with my drunken father, dead mother and violent surroundings, there was nothing left to do but adapt and dream of escaping this reality. Dream of meeting her and her friends.

So how can I harm her? What can I do? Do I protect her, save her from this terrible fate?

Or protect myself, and complete my initiation.

Inspired by "My Little Dashie", but not in the way you might think, sort of an unofficial prequel.

Salvation: "Deliverance from sin and its consequences.", "A preservation or deliverance from harm, ruin, or loss."

Black Shield, or "Blackie" as he is casually called, is a pony fallen from grace. He was once a stallion with everything, from a loving family to a position as Captain of the Sutansia Royal Guard. He was truly blessed. But after a series of terrible events, everything that made his life worth living is ripped away from him, leaving him empty.

Now with no home, no family, and no reason to live, he wanders aimlessly from Sutansia to the nearby land of Equestria. He eventually finds himself in Ponyville where he plans to start a new life.

Unfortunately, when his old life threatens to once again take away everything he holds dear, he must stand up against it. He must find redemption.

This is by far the most RANDOM story I've ever written. A bizarre mix of comedy and emotion. At least that's what I hope this story accomplishes.

Rarity has just bought a new television, and Sweetie Belle can't wait to spend the day surfing through the more than one-thousand channels. After a while of this monotonous task, Sweetie Belle starts to get bored.

But that changes when she and her friends discover one channel, a channel that will shock them to their very core.

Even with coltfriends to back up their claims, both Applejack and Rainbow Dash must deal with rumors circulating around Ponyville that they are in love with each other. To prove that she isn't scared of what others think, Rainbow Dash kisses Applejack outside of the bathroom at a Wonderbolts' race. She thinks that, at most, only a couple of ponies passing by will see them.

She is wrong.

Because people seem to enjoy ponies with food so much, I decided to take a shot at it.

Hardships serve to reveal true friends and expose false ones. True friends are not bound by convenience, rather by the ability to stick together and pick each-other back up when times are rough, even if the two "friends" barely know each other.

This is the lesson Fluttershy learned the first time she met Rainbow Dash, back when the cyan pegasus stood up for her against the most popular filly in Cloudsdale Flight School. A time when Fluttershy's own "friends" didn't stand up for her.

This is the story about how Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash, two fillies with radically different personalities, became friends.
