That is correct. A story must garner a few votes, either up or down, before they will be publicly displayed. This is to keep people from making assumptions about the story based on a few down votes.

But i found a way to fix it. I went to the corresponding group and found my story in the folder i wanted to remove it from. There was a tiny trash bin beside the name. I didn't even see it the first few times i went there. Kind of inconvenient.

Also, just a quick question: The up- and downvotes for my story are not displayed when you're not logged in. I read somthing about them not being visible until the vote count hits a certain threshold. Is that so?

I guess I didn't explain myself very well. When you go to the page where you see the story listed, and you click on those items, you'll get a sub-menu. For example, click on the three doted icon on the story you wish to remove. Do you see a little green checkmark by the folder that you placed the story in? If you click it again, the green checkmark will disappear. That means that the story has been removed. I hope this clarifies what I was trying to say.
