After an experiment goes awry, the gang gets trapped in a time lock. Fast forward several hundred years, and they finally get out of it, in a post-apocalyptic world. They now have to figure out how to get back to their own time, and figure out how the world got to this.

While scuba diving, Sunset Shimmer and Flash come across an impossibility: A mermaid. As it turns out, she was hunted and knocked out, but can't remember what specifically happened. And they learn a whole lot about about evolution.

Its been several weeks since General Burrow's failed attempt at taking over the government and Ultrabyte was freed from his E.X.T.I.N.C.T.I.O.N. In those weeks, Ultrabyte has trained a decent amount of other students at Canterlot City on switching between body and computer, with the help of the lead scientist that had helped train her. But of course, problems arise. Other branches of the government find out about the project, and they want in, and for various reasons. But when they find out that somehow, maybe, just maybe, General Burrow survived the explosion of several nuclear warheads within a confined area, everyone starts worrying. After all, Burrow was a dangerous man. Will the trainees be able to master their abilities before anything serious goes wrong? Or will they all fall?

One day after school, Raw Data finds what appears to be a cracked and broken odd looking phone. It's not a phone. It was the first designed bio-mechanic system, and she needs help. Raw Data does help her, and in the process makes more like her. However, the government is constantly searching for the phone housing the bio-mech, but what they're trying to model after her are war machines. Dangerous war machines, capable of wielding weapons of mass destruction, and no one wants that.

Now off from their two week ban, the Bolts are back to help Sunset Shimmer's friends the Rainbooms, and the Autobots back in action. But unfortunately, another accident occurs in Wheeljack's laboratory and things don't quite necessarily go well... at least no one turned into a baby this time. Right?

Coincidentally, a strange new hero appears at about the same time, as does a new crime boss, so Sunset Shimmer and her friends try to find out what's happening to try and help. Of course, theye were tied in even before they knew it.
