#3: Limit Cliches.
They are annoying and stupid to use. Here are a few (various types):
A: Dead person dies before he/she finishes their last sentence.
Yeah, this is annoying because, more than likely, they are saying something that can and will help the protagonist(s) with the mission he/she/they are on and it bugs us as to what they were saying and we, the readers, won't know for certain until the writer tells us, AKA NEVER!!!!!!
