Sunny knew the road to true unification would be a long one. With any luck, it would no longer be a lonely one thanks to the friends she found along the way.

As a hopeless Sunzzy supporter, I love this (yes, I am aware this isn't strictly a romantic fic but I take what I can get).

More importantly I like how this story touches aspects of Sunny that aren't just "dad gone", specifically the bits about her (lack of) lasting friendships in Maritime bay and her coping with the massive changes that hit her life post-movie.

Also there is this quote:

and Izzy felt her face stretch in a way that was becoming more familiar to her with each passing day.

This line was the best kind of sappy. I almost missed the implications when reading through, but I'm glad i didn't. It's a great example of "show, don't tell".

Argh! This is good. From the beautiful dialogue that was so painful for both sides of the conversation to one of the best examples of “show don’t tell” I’ve read recently, I must say:
Have a Derpy :derpytongue2:

You just had to be racist Posey, didn't you?
