Author's note: This will probably be the last moderately grimdark story I upload in a while. More humor to come. I won't tell you what it's about yet, but it involves a character we all know and love.

Well it's certainly a different take, but I'm not a fan of explanations for the sake of it. Still, if you're going to do it, I can respect when it's done with a degree of intelligence. You'd need to convince me that anyone was actually asking those questions though! Faust already implied where Celestia and Luna came from, and I see no reason to view them as 'weak'.
Still, I get the feeling you enjoyed it, and that's what counts. Along with a solid grasp of language, of course!

There's only one thing I noticed here, it seems that in this story Luna never left the moon and was never defeated by The Elements of Harmony, so all events involving that including the mane six never happened.
Maybe you should put alternative universe down for this story as well?

Yeah, this is a bit of a story version of fan wank, but the weakness I was referring to was how easily Chrysalis kicked Celestia's ass, and the fact that she never really confronts the baddies directly. The Mane 6 end up stealing the show most of the time.

Actually, the implication was that the events of the show happened, with the only real difference between canon and this is that Celestia isn't really Celestia. I think I will add the alternate universe thing, though. I'd been debating whether or not this was far enough removed from canon.
