Only by studying the past can we win the present.

Needles. Everyone has different views on them. Some like them, some are okay and some fucking hate them. I'm the last group. I absolutely hate needles ever since I was a filly. I can't describe the feeling I get when I see one. How drug addicts can regularly shoot up, I'll never know. So why exactly did I agree to donate blood again?

Nicely done! So this us sunset's pov, right?

I don't like needles as well.

Wait. Does the portal change Sunset's blood when she crosses?

Otherwise she is donating pony blood.

“Sunset, she already did. She did about ten minutes into our conversation,” Mom said as I slowly looked at the needle. I hadn’t even felt it. “We distracted you long enough so you wouldn’t fight.”

THE BETRAYAL!

I’m afraid of needles. I have had the flu shot and other shots that I needed since at least 2015 and those always made me nervous.

The two things that were worse than those were the steroid injection in my left thumb for trigger finger over a year ago and all the IVs (over the course of a weekend) with anti-nausea medications and IV fluids when I had an 8 millimeter kidney stone and I was having difficulty holding food and water down for a while. My symptoms resembled COVID-19 symptoms (to the point where most of the nurses at the hospital thought that I had it) but the test came out negative and the CT scan showed the stone in my left ureter about a third of the way down so it was probably just kidney stone symptoms.

The stone passed last May and it hurt more than any needle. It was probably about a four or five on a scale of one to ten.

I used to be way more afraid of them when I was younger

TheKing2001,

You and me, both. I’ve taught myself to cope with it though.

Same. I just play on my phone

Yeah.

Once the needle has been inserted, I do fine. But the inserting makes me antsy. I don’t think that’ll ever change.

The irony: I want to get a tattoo someday.:rainbowlaugh:
