This is certainly strong competition in the drama category (if you decide to enter the thousand words contest). Good work!

What? WHAT!? Why was I not told if this!? Oh, that passing acquaintance is going to get an earful!
I like it when people show the Pie family in a good dynamic. They're such great and responsible ponies!
Also: The reason you don't know about the contest is because some people don't check the trending groups and stories often, and some other people think the contest's effort is too low to be posted on a site blog
oof! what a hammer to bring down
that one of the places Igneous has never been is a mountain within sight of the rock farm he’s lived in his entire life really is so him
oof! that is so parenthood
aww, i can definitely imagine Pinkie bouncing around on those pegasus clouds
augh this is going to all stem from a Pinkie misunderstanding that is just so very her, isn’t it?
oh this is really good! i can just imagine Igneous having saying this as a habit, to remind himself at the end of every day that his time here with the family he loves is a finite and precious thing. i really do feel the tug at my heartstrings with this one. just excellent work, thank you so much for writing!
Oh, this was heartwarming and heartrending by turns. An outstanding Pinkie, kind, considerate, loving… and still thinking ninety degrees from most ponies. (And really, given the world she lives in and the nature of her father, who can blame her for taking that last line literally?) The specter of death hangs over the whole thing enough to merit the Drama tag, but honestly, you could have also entered this in Slice of Life or even Comedy. (You did do a big setup that pays off with a punchline.) Even so, this was a touching read. Thank you for it.
Nice bittersweet taste. Short and to the point, with great characterization and a good punchline. Good work Jhoira!
Thank you for writing this!
This is a good bittersweet moment that really shows how much Pinkie cares for her family and I'm all for it!
