This story is a sequel to Night Reigns
With Harmony restored to Equestria, everypony needs to get back to work. Princess Luna is off to the Crystal Empire to guide the Crystal Ponies back into modern society, and Sunset Shimmer and Sterling Honor set off to retrieve the lost Elements of Harmony.
What starts out as a simple retrieval mission quickly grows complicated, and things don't seem to be making sense in the Crystal Empire either. As Sunset and Sterling travel across Equestria they start to unveil the seeds of a far darker plot than either expected - and a danger to Equestria that none were prepared to face.

So I figure with how long it has been, most people reading this won't have read the original. So while you wait for me to update, feel free to jump back and read part 1. If you read part 1 while I was originally writing it, absolutely go back and read it again. The revisions I made after finishing it grind down all of the rough edges and hopefully make it flow a lot nicer.
I'll do my best to make sure you don't need the first story to make sense of this one, though.

Interesting start. I remember much of part 1 because I it wasn't that long ago when I read it.
Since Trixie has activated the Element of Laughter Celestia will want her to travel with Sunset and Sterling to find the other 5 Elements and theri bearers.
Trixie is really trying to get on everyponies' nerves it seems.
Strange that they all got nightmares in the Crystal Empire.
Trixie should discuss such things with the others first. I expect that Cadance will be an Element Bearer is this story which measn there are still 2 bearers to be identified.
