Honestly, I liked the build up, but the ending was rather... abrupt. I was hoping for some custard pies.

I think you should extend the story. It's still a good story.
Haha. Truthfully, I'm a rambler at heart, so I was trying to go for something a bit more... brief.
The thing that was probably at the forefront of my mind when I wrote this were the short comedy flash gags on youtube. They all pretty much have this same kind of, "Huh? What?" sort of ending.
I'll consider making a revised version though.
Why revise? Just add a second chapter where she's at said circus and something manages to retrigger the fear... with hilarious results.
Please make a revised version of this. Or at least make this longer. I mean, you could have mentioned the fact that the Mayor was dressed as a Clown on Nightmare Night and that Twilight was really nervous around her or something... I mean something like that. Plus you could have made Pinkie or any of the other mane 6 force Twilight to take her problems on head on. There even could have been a great lesson and letter to the Princess that could have been written at the end of it. I'm not saying the story was bad, it wasn't as it felt like an actual episode, I'm saying that it felt like someone got up and changed the channel halfway through it. And I bet that's how everyone else feels.
Pinkie Pie = Therapist. Seems legit
that... that explains a lot, actually.

I know a few people who are deathly afraid of clowns, so this struck home a bit. Nicely done.
