A human wakes up in Equestria one night, having discovered their body magically altered to match those of the inhabitants!

Apparently, this human isn't even the first, and while a royal welcome helps to ease the new pony's transition, the wheels of fate are already turning. The main character - having taken the name Pathfinder - really just wants to return home, but that isn't going to be as easy at it sounds.

According to the ancient legends, there exists a powerful magic at the very heart of the world that pervades all parts of ponydom. The ponies rely on this magic to continue living peacefully as they do, but now this magic seems dead-set on keeping our awkward protagonist around for good. Could Pathfinder have an epic destiny to follow, or could it just be a series of coincidences?

Nothing is as simple as it seems, and the answers won't come easy.
