I always liked Zephyr. Felt bad for him here.
Although I do find the unbreakable Discord statue to be a bit of a annoying cliche.
The writing was good though, so thanks for publishing.
you know two things occur to me, one if this somehow ended with the canon ending, zephyr some how changes things so twilight and the mane six win as mlp canon, then discord being besties with fluttershy will be super awkward
and secondly if he wins and beats discord it be hilarious to see him become a alicorn and everyone reaction to that
typical discord, contradicting himself in the same sentence
I like this premise.
I am having fun. It’s similar to that long story, “Diaries of a Madman,” but doesn’t have the non-consenting aspects built into the premise. Just like the Discord of the show and unlike the aforementioned story, there’s a possible route for the MC to succeed while there’s definitely a great challenge to overcome. I’m poised to root for Zephyr here, and I’m never in his corner.
I think there’s a lot of crazy situations that could happen via Groundhog’s Day and at the end, Zephyr will try to befriend his nemesis. But not before he goes around learning almost everything about everypony in Equestria and still never getting Rainbow to like him despite thousands of attempts on the way.
Why did you cancel this story after only three chapters and then set up a much longer sequel? Could you at tell us all how this story would’ve ended?

The ending will be explained during the sequel.
I dropped this one because I'm just not good enough at writing to a level I think this story needs.
I just didn't like how it came out, Didn't feel like continuing this story, but still wanted to write the actual real story that was always going to take place after the Loops.
What I did was just start a new story, telling the story i wanted to tell from a better point of writing, without having to slog through writing more and more chapters of psychological torment.
If you wish to know the ending to how this would have went, read Restart: After it All.
