That was a fun read. Short and sweet, and ripe for more of Twilight's fantasies whenever they pop into your head.
This is a great short form story format, I do hope you return to it sometime, you've stuck a similar idea in my head now of Twilight sharing her kink with my favorite pony.

I've been intending to comment on this for a while, because I find this a well-written story with a nice premise, and now I see it's not even finished; how nice, I think the setup for future chapters is obvious from the end of the first, but I'll see. I particularly like how Twilight Sparkle is a unicorn, which is how things should be, and am glad to see the synopsis reveals it will stay that way. There are some decent pregnancy stories involving Twilight Sparkle, but as an alicorn, which butchers her character beyond recognition in so many different ways.
The first large paragraph is an excellent setup and I enjoyed seeing another story similar to mine, in that it's rather dialogue-sparse, focussing instead on what the reader generally cares more about for such a story, the movements and physical interactions. I would've considered this to be a more typical kind of story, but I was pleasantly surprised by the chapter's end. The story is well-written; I noticed no flaws, although I wasn't looking for them; and the story maintains its verisimilitude through careful word choices and in so many other ways without which the verisimilitude is otherwise easily-shattered. While the story is mature, I wouldn't consider it extremely explicit, and that can be for the best; appropriately, it's best to let the imagination flow for such things.
Since it has been a few months, I figure you may be mulling over future chapters. I'd be glad to help, if my help would be wanted.
Interesting story so far. I hope they end up getting even bigger or nearly immobile at some point.
I'll agree on those differing heights, having the Mane 6 share a body shape was a shortcut season 1 that never got fixed when they started doing different body styles. My headcanon is similar, though I normally think of Twilight as average in height and even skinnier than Fluttershy. Bookhorse forgets to eat when she books. Rarity is the pudgy one, girl binges ice cream as soon as she gets stressed. And she runs a high stress business, probably the Ponyville Ice Cream Parlor's best customer. Also, she doesn't usually model her own clothes, and when she does they are expansive enough they could eadily hide extra pounds. Last point, just look at her mom, Cookie Crumbles. She definately inherited those chubby MILF genes.
That mirror would probably come in handy for a vain noble, though a slight change in their mental image of themselves and whoops. Why am I a dragon? Or suddenly an alicorn?
Can a subject be primed to think of a specific effect for it to impart? Twi might just have to experiment. Tell her friends it'll make them look pregnant and see if that overwrites their usual self image. For science...
Happy you came back to this when your muse struck. And a fully formed and edited story rather than a quick stream of ideas and done. Great job.

I like your Rarity take.
But to expound, I assume of the three main pony branches, Earth Ponies are the biggest, Pegasi vary more than the others, but are generally in between, and Unicorns are the smallest. The sole exception is "noble" unicorns, like Blue Blood, who trace their ancestry to Celestia or other Alicorns. Rarity is somewhat lucky, in that she is much larger than typical Unicorns, and could be construed to have a noble heritage. The truth is that she is from a village of Earth Ponies and their genetics figure heavily into her size, rather than any Alicorn. Though if you consider alicorns as a blend of all three pony races, is there much difference?
As for Twilight, just a personal preference, and amused that the most powerful Unicorn in Equestria is tiny, and built on Applejack's comments in Winter Wrap-Up that she was such a little pony. And she's sedentary, so softer than she would be if she were more active.

I think the lack of editing added to the dreaminess of the chapter. I didn't spot any spelling issues, and the stream of conciousness style of your unedited stuff is fitting for the reveal it was all a dream. These little slice of life stories about Twi's interests are a lot of fun.

That is the gist of it. Twilight uses a magic she learned from the mirror to make the mares look and feel pregnant and then glamours them to make them, and everypony else, think that was normal. Twilight is immune because she cast the spell. Because overdue books.
I can only imagine Twi letting in Cheerilee on the secret and abusing the glamour and preg simulation for some real funtimes in private and public.
I do wonder, how often did Twilight visit Sugarcube Corner and ordering anything just to get a look at Mrs. Cake as much as possible before she had the twins? Sounds exactly like something this story's Twi would do.
I don't know why but the short description of this story hit me like a train.
Rarity being a big drama-horse is high art. Particularly when she's gotten so big. Love seeing Twi's little fanfics of her hot friends. Kinda hope they get found at some point, just for the embarrassed Twilight and comments from her friends that would result.
This was an absolutely wonderful chapter of both lewdness and wholesomeness!

Found this today and read it all in one shot. Fantastic stuff, and I love the tangential chapters too. Here's hoping that Twiggles tries to ask the mirror 'how pregnant *can* I get?' at some point, and that we get a later chapter with Cheerilee with a large stack of outstanding library books!
