Mockingbirb

A pony of mystery in the darkness. Or I forgot to take the lens cap off. (They/them is fine.)

A story about cuddling...a HORROR story!

For a fluffy (if nonstandard) cuddlefic, read only chapter one...and STOP.

If you don't like to be HORRIFIED, you should NOT read on to chapter two.

An Installment in "The Not Your Usual Cuddlefic Series" :trollestia:

Also a celebration of Spookymonth/Halloween season.

Prereaders:
Gelatino (offprint, fimfiction.net) who is also credited in the main author's note for something else, too.

honestly, i expected something darker, but i guess i'm also less grossed out by bugs than most people. it's also the altered name of "Wallmoss", with "Wallflower" poking through at the end of the previous chapter's emotional climax, made me think this story was going for a more existential metafiction horror thing (i recognize there's a little bit of it at the end but it's not really enough to live up to all the horror-selling). anyway, you did a good job writing the story you wanted to write, a "creepypasta", as it were.

Thank you for your kind comment!
Something you said puzzled me at first though. You had a very interesting interpretation about the name '"Wallflower" poking through at the end of the previous chapter's emotional climax.'
That was a typo that made search and replace fail. :twilightsheepish: Props for a very charitable interpretation of a typo's results.
EDIT: I fixed the typo now, thanks.

That’s a clever use of expectation. I, too, was expecting some dark magic to somehow be used to will this pillow to life, then things would get really creepy! But it turns out Wallflower was just lonely and making an animated doll for herself through organic material and memory erasure.

Whoa, this story is deeper than I thought!

I don't know. At first it felt like C L Strife with less typos (but then, Strife seems like poor man's Jakkid and unlike Jakkid, he tryhards too hard). Then it got weirder. I mean, Wally is a bit nuts, be it canon or the most popular headcanon, but well, maggots? It feels bizarre on one hand, but not bizarre enough on the other. A bit gross but hardly scary? Psychological? Je ne sais pas.

But wouldn't it be wonderful, if the imaginary girl was soaking up Wallmoss's lonely feelings, her affection and dream love, and starting to become real?

How I feel about my plushies of my fictional crushes. 💔

Did not expect it to go that route. I actually thought it would come alive
