Personally, that sounds fine with me. I would be alright with having an ongoing Alternate Universe where the Mask was getting into trouble both with the human and equestrian world.

Yeah... the sequel was terrible, absolutely terrible, but the comics more than made up for it. Which I'm drawing inspiration from the original movie, and of course the comics that came before it. There may be a single idea or two that comes from the easily forgotten spawn of a sequel, but I'm not going to be drawing much inspiriation from it at all.
And a superpowered Bitter would be fun, no?
