Nice to see someone else who sees Silverstream as the older of the two. I can't say more mature, because she's not. But I still like it.
I like the worldbuilding you did, and how you gave Silverstream and Terramar a dynamic. Also, this fanfic reminds me of "Rainbow" by Sia - something beautiful can be born from hardship.
This is a beautiful story, I really like it. I understood the hardships line right away, but maybe that's just me being extra-perceptive. As a person who has divorced parents, I can totally understand what Terramar's going through-I was only a baby when my parents separated and it's still awkward to have to try and choose between them for a lot of things. A great story, I like the idea of Terramar joining his sister at school-and that last line. It's really great, because the reader knows while you wouldn't expect there to be fights at a friendship school, we've seen it happen.
Dang, for being created entirely within a two hour span, this is impressive work. Familial trouble is such a deep well of pain for those who have to live with it, and i think you captured it well here. I just wanna give these two a big hug and tell them everything is gonna be okay :‘(
