This story is a sequel to Alterverse: Welcome to Ponyville
Trixie writes a letter to Princess Luna about the foalnapping incident and the Lunar Core. She details the events and how the fillies are doing. However, Luna thinks that the fillies should be checked in on. An experience like that isn't just shaken off.
Trixie then goes to check on the little fillies. Scootaloo seems okay, but Trixie is concerned about her refusal to talk about her problems, even with her own sister. Silver Spoon is still a bit paranoid, but is otherwise recovering well. And Dinky...seems a bit more traumatized.
And can Surprise handle having a new fan filly?

Splendid job on the next story in the Alternaverse. Loved Trixie's recap in the latter to Luna as well as Luna pointing out that it would be wiser to check up on the foals anyway as well as admitting how frustrated she feels concerning how far the Lunar Core is willing to go.
And, yeah, greatly enjoyed Trixie's chat with Cheerilee concerning Scoots. So that is one foal down, two to go. Though, somehow, I don't think the other two check-ups are going to go QUITE as easily.
And, yeah, it would probably be wisest to wait until the story is finished (so that the readers don't have to wait too long for the next chapter), but only release one or two chapters at a time (so that the readers aren't overloaded)
But anyway, I'll definitely be looking forward to the next chapter.

Thanks for the input. This won't be a long story, and I do plan on space out the posting of each chapter. Not by too much. But it's a short enough story that there shouldn't be much wait, even with the fact that I'm not finished yet. I always used to tend to write the story out almost in full, then start posting when I only have one or two chapters left write (this was well before MLP:FiM though).

REALLY good job on the latest chapter. The exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up are all well done in all the right places. Yeah, I can definitely understand why Silver can be so jumpy. And, yeah, really good detail on Silver's father. And good of Trixie to try to reassure Silver even though, by her own admission, she wasn't exactly a psychiatrist.
VERY definitely going to be looking forward to more of this.

REALLY good work on the exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up in all the right places. I particularly liked DInky's fan-girling of Trixie, Trixie sharing some details of her family history with Ditzy and Dinky (particularly her learning to tell tall tales from dealing with her grandmother) and Trixie's observations concerning Ditzy and Dinky's own family life. And, yeah, that kidnapping IS going to (rather understandably) be a very sore spot for quite some time to come.
Indeed, I'll DEFINITELY be looking forward to more of this.

I particularly liked the lengths Trixie went to in order for Dinky to get at least some of the emotional release she needed as well as Trixie;s observations in the end letter to Luna. And, yeah, I lost my mother more than twenty years ago, so I can definitely sympathize with the - family issues Dinky ended up bringing out.
At any rate, I'll definitely be looking forward to more of your work.

I wanted to take a different route than other people do. Most writers will often have Trixie have a not so great relationship with her family, which would often explain her attitude. However, though it's not explained what her relationship is with her father in canon, she does in fact have a loving mother, at least in the comics. So rather than going with the cliche of her having a bad family life, I'm going with a good family life that was made tense when her mother died.
Trixie's backstory and what happened to her mother won't be addressed until Season 2. It may be a bit of a wait, but it shows just how far ahead I've planned this series. But just as a warning for when that story comes, have a box of tissues ready. Because if I do my job well and make you cry the same way I made myself cry when conceptualizing it, you'll need them.

Fantastic work.
Finally got around to rereading this one. I like this story a lot more then the first. The pacing is better, the writing is better, and the emotional moments hit hard. I think I finally realized why this chapter hit so hard for me, the way Dinky reacted was rather similar to an experience I had when I was very young.
Great work. Are you still planning to write more for this universe?

I do plan to continue writing more for this universe. I have too may ideas not to. I'm currently working on this universe's variant of Boast Busters, though I have the production of that on hiatus. I have several ideas that are not related to this universe as well, even the possibility of another Alternate Universe entirely.
Perhaps the reason the first story didn't work as well was because I didn't know how to create a proper premiere episode without doing a remake of the show's premiere. And the reason I didn't use a variant of Friendship is Magic as the premiere is because I planned on making that the season finale instead. This allows for the Alternate 6 to discover their elements as an entire season rather than just a single episode. That also compensates for the fact that Season 1 didn't have a proper season finale (Since Lauren Faust originally planned Return of Harmony to be the Season 1 finale). And I always thought that it would be a good idea to combine Friendship is Magic with The Best Night Ever. But in return, that just makes the premiere of the Alternaverse basically just an introduction of the characters.
