Ace Survivor(unfinished)

The force of Bill’s boot forced the door to fall off of its hinges, revealing a dark and empty street. The entire street ran for around ten blocks, as far as Bill could tell. If the streetlights had been functioning correctly and if “traffic” wasn’t such a hassle, he would have been able to see that this street could go from one end of the city to the other in a straight line.

The only thing about the street that Bill found weird was that there wasn’t any zombies. Nor could he hear any in the close proximity. He did hear gunshots in the distance that seemed to increase in intensity as time went along.

“We better take this time to get our bearings. If my memory doesn’t fail me, the place we’re looking for should be about ten blocks East, and then a couple blocks North from there. You know what I mean by North and East, right?”

Rainbow Dash was offended by Bill’s remark. “Who do you think we are, babies??”

“Of course not. You’re a bunch of magical ponies from the land of Equestria. Why would I be mistaken that you’re a bunch of little babies that don’t know the basic cardinal directions?” Bill replied in a sarcastic tone. The ponies shut up at that. Bill led the group Eastward down a still abandoned street. Rainbow Dash was growing impatient as Bill checked every crevice and corner. She held her tongue as best as she could, doubting his behavior, until he did find spoils.

Next to a burning taxi Bill had pulled away a garbage can to reveal a dead man in a blue suit and red tie. The dead man’s hair was all ruffled and messed up, but four weeks previous it had been spiky as a porcupine. Next to the dead man, however, was a bottle of pills and an Uzi submachine gun.

“Whatever this guy’s job was, it doesn’t seem like he was an ace at surviving. But he is an ace at leaving us things to survive off of.” Bill seemed relieved, being left with nothing but a pistol previously. He grabbed the Uzi and the pill bottle, and checked the contents of both. The Uzi had a full clip, but that was only fifty rounds worth. The bottle had enough painkillers to help deal with a temporary injury, but anything else would require a first aid kit. Speaking of which...

Bill had seen an ambulance back the other way, but had thought not to open it for fear of a zombie hiding inside and would tear him apart limb from limb, due to the lack of a firearm. The ponies did have weapons, but they were inexperienced and would most likely have failed to defend him in that situation. With a gun, however, he felt more confident in their abilities.

“Hey, ponies. We’re going to backtrack a bit to that ambulance.” Bill cocked his head back in the direction that they had just came from.

“What do you mean backtrack? We need to hurry up so we can get back to Equestria!”

“Rainbow Dash, to me you seem bit saddlesore. You just don’t see what Bill’s trying I’d rather survive long enough to get that far than end up zombie bait because we rushed ahead. Unless you want to get eaten by zombies,” Applejack said in an annoyed tone.

I'm sorry to all of you. If you read my blog post, I hope you'll understand. :pinkiesad2:

nah its cool

We all did decide to join a "fanfiction" website. None of us are professionals (as far as I know), so no one is holding you up to such a high standard. No one here is held up to that standard. To do so would be preposterous.

Long story short: We're cool brony! We don't think any less of you! We are all learning! So get that smile on your face and keep doing what you love most!! :pinkiehappy:

It's more of a personal thing, that feeling, I can't help but feel it itching at the back of my head, always nagging me about this. I felt no actual obligation to stay 100% committed to this site, of course, but I couldn't just leave people hanging for an ending forever in their minds, for those people who would be expecting one.

All I'm saying is that everypony knows what they signed up for when they joined this site. If ANYBODY gives you grief about that (and I don't imagine it actually happening), then they've got their heads way up their own flanks. :rainbowlaugh:

I'm torn. On one hand, I know that real life sucks, because it gets in the way of amazing things like ponies, and that I understand if you have to cancel the fic...

On the other hand, i did love it, and I wanna gun down you and your family for ending it in the middle...

I'LL DO BOTH!!! :pinkiecrazy:

In all seriousness though, its alright. Disappointing, but alright. If anyone says otherwise, ignore him or her.

While I do admit it has to partly with real life problems, it isn't the full issue. The past few months, countless bronies have been preaching love and tolerance all about, yet when it comes to an issue, they start blaming the other group for causing the problem, instead of trying to fix it. While I did that at first, I realized how much hypocrisy it reeked of, tried to discontinue it. And that's the story of how a perfectly good pony forum was ruined by cloppers who wanted a mature board.

I admit that I dont' knwo what you mean by "causing a problem" and "fixing it", but it sucks that the community is what is kinda pushing you out. I like to think that you've hit some bad apples, but I'm not sure...

Here. Pinkie Pie being cute will make all better... right?

Not sure if spam, or actual threat.

This was (and is) a very well thought out fan-fiction that had no problems with grammar at all (that I could find). Although I'm heartbroken at the hiatus, I have a gut feeling you're going to wake up with a brand new idea for the story.

If you don't feel obliged to do it, then don't. You didn't sell your soul to fimfiction.net to get story writing abilities. You picked one of the few fanfiction websites in the world to post on, being with a forgiving community who skim through a ton of stuff anyways. Nobody is going to punch you. We can sleep at night dreaming up the rest of the story, or not give a crap and moving on, for brighter pastures and think about the day we got an amazing idea from this story.

What I'm trying to say here is that even though this is an amazing story, all plays have to have a curtain dropped, but some plays have them dropped unexpectedly, or faster than usual. You thought up an amazing start (with science, the only fanfictions I will ever read), and you couldn't think up an ending or middle. That's okay, we don't mind at all. You are a human just like everyone else, and need to spend time on other things.

Good luck on your endeavors in the present and future!

I talk too much.

I hate stories without closure. That's my opinion, and I'd be glad to list stories that I felt left less of an impact because it ended abruptly or with no hint as to where anything would be going (I understand that much of it should be left up for imagination, but the logical side of my brain can't accept that).

And now I'm rambling.

Anyways, I've given thought as to whether or not I should restart, but I should just say I'm terrible with keeping to my own deadlines; partly why I stopped. If anything, I'll wait until after I finish the first short story I've written in a while.

P.S. I'm terrible with science. The whole time I was thinking of a way, I wanted to just say "It's magic, I don't gotta explain shit."

You are being obliged to continue. Don't.

I'm perfectly fine with Friendship is Survival being shut down for a while, you can work on other stories and we won't mind.

I like to think of fanfiction as a book being written as people read it, and you can stop. Then, it's started back up. It's like a livestream of someone typing out Harry Potter or something. He/she will have to stop eventually, and get a coke or something. The story won't progress until then.

That means he or she can take a long break, taking the laptop with them until they get an idea. Suddenly, the book bursts to life, filling with chapters! The people come back on and watch as he/she makes the magic happen!

So you don't have to continue (at least not this second).

Family > Ponies
Friends > Ponies
Deadlines > Ponies
Fanfiction = Ponies
Everything else < Ponies

I still hope to see some more in the future, for now, I have to read poorly written fanfiction usually with an OC I do not wish to familiarize myself with.

I want a freaking human traveling in a spaceship and crash land on FREAKING EQUESTRIA. Not how your OC got a DRESS. :twilightangry2:

I genuinely want to continue, you misunderstood me. It's not like I don't have a lot of free time, I just procrastinate a lot.

I literally have no life, but I get distracted while doing something. When I do get focused, I work intensely on it (I spent three hours trying to pinpoint the approximate location of Fairfield, Philadelphia, based on phone codes and the such).

555919

I can understand that. I just thought you had something to do, so I posted that.

I procrastinate whenever possible, so the pain is mutual.

What I was trying to say was if you had something to do, or didn't have the willpower to do the fanfic, we'll wait.

I think we both over-complicated everything, and at night too, so I bet we're both tired.:rainbowlaugh:

Seriously, how did I not come across this? Take a thumb, bro.

No thanks I still have both hands

Why did you kill Pheanox Wright?
