I like this story so far. I especially like your writing style, it really seems to grab my interest. The whole "storyteller addressing a crowd" thing is pretty cool. At first I thought that it was a bit repetitive "you kept using "today", but then I realized that that actually helped to set the stage well, especially being as it is written as if a storyteller is addressing a crowd. I will be tracking this. Keep up the good work.

I guess somebody studied Pinkie Pie and found that she did indeed have magic.
Ok, so details I'm glossing over that I shan't go over again in this fic:
Signal Flare's ability to ignite is a family trait, supposedly learned from Phoenixes.
Twilight has 3 possible reasons to do this: A) One of her ancestors was a member of the family, B) Philomela hooked her up, or C) Her being the Element of Magic allows her to use non-Unicorn magic as well.
Yersinia is Pinke's bluer sister, the other being Octavia. She was named at a game of Scrabble. Mad props if you know why she's also called "Pestie" without googling it.
Derpy Hooves is Ponyville's favorite wall-eyed mailmare. Ditzy Doo is her purple-maned sister with no sense of direction. Dinky is Derpy's and Sparkler is Ditzy's, which I'm spoiling here because it's a rather minor detail that's unlikely to come up again.
The Next chapter will be from the point of view of one Cats Cradle.
