Caramel Apple is a young stallion hoping to become a great chef in his future, and, being in a renown school for just the specifics of complex cooking and proper manners, he's sent on a temporary apprenticeship with one of the greatest ponies of all: Goldenware, the personal grand chef of the alicorn sisters.
Every single one of her apprentices always left after just one day with her, and they never explained why. As such, she is considered the most difficult pony to train under, and considering her position, she's rightfully difficult. Goldenware doesn't understand why they'd leave so early, though.

7742162 actually yes, it is, look up Rosanna Pansino's channel on youtube, she made one like that on her show nerdy nummies. you just cut out the center of the lower layers, leaving the top layer in tact. you just pour in the candies before you put the top layer on and put the icing on after baking the layers
